About this house rental
This pristine area is located on the St. Johns River in the heart of the Ocala Forest. Imagine a drift in time to a Florida that few experience. Gentle breezes & fresh sweet air with the hint of blossoms smells from some far off grove hidden in the dense tropical forest. Canoeing with such a vast variety of birds too many to name. Alligators patrolling the shores looking for fish peeking from under the water hyacinths. Sounds of nature like a symphony to hear.
You will find small finger canals leading into the St.Johns River where the water becomes crystal clear.. with springs and incredible snorkeling opportunities. If you like fishing...Largemouth Bass, Crappers & other pan fish are in abundance...
We have board games , tv in each bedroom & den
Amenities: . Boat dock, sauna , and canoe are not part of the rental no extra charge for use but as if not working there is no refund,
We do repair things asap but have no control of how fast someone comes., so I do not charge for their use .
you assume all liability for their use.

Indoor .4 person sauna
although I have a strict cancellation you do not get cash back but you do not lose your time and can rebook within a year at no additional cost if its the same unit

whether its Florida or Maine.
I do allow domestic pets, dogs and cats only . Pet fee is $50. Pet must be on flea and tick preventive meds ,They must be washed and brushed . Please pick up any gifts your pets may leave and brush up lose hair before leaving . not allowed on the furniture .

host was very on point with getting with you on any questions you may have. location was great especially if you have dogs. host is very nice on having many pets. house was good a little run down but not a bad place to stay on the saint johns river. was entertaining to watch boats go by all day and night.

First, I will start with the good. Denise was very friendly and easily accessable. Somehow, we accidently locked one of the bathroom doors and couldnt get back in and Denise sent someone to help us out so i appreciated that. The kitchen was well stocked with nice countertops and upgraded appliances. However, the cleanliness could have been much better. Spider webs were on light fixture in dining area and porches were pretty cluttered. Saw three cockroaches but luckily they were dead so its obviously been sprayed. There wasn't enough lighting in the home. Multiple bulbs were blown so that was disappointing. And lastly, no power at boat dock or fish cleaning area. We ran a water hose to the sink in the boat house to clean our fish. The location was great and it does have very nice views but not sure it was worth the unfortunately.
