About this apartment rental
The neat property Marema is surrounded by olive groves and located above the fine sandy beach of Peroulia in a nice hillside location. The 3 holiday apartments are next to each other with a separate entrance each. The basement flats below the apartments are used by the landlord family. The estate Marema is surrounded by a beautiful enclosed garden property cultivated with banana plants, citrus trees and plenty of Mediterranean plants and flowers. The lawn in the front garden is for the shared use of all guests.
The corner apartment Marema 1 dates back to 1975 and was renovated in 2024 and equipped with new furniture. The 2 bedrooms and the bath are adjoining to the separate kitchen. From one bedroom you have direct access to the front roofed balcony where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Messenian Bay up to the opposite coast and the Taygetos Mountains. The second bedroom is an entrance and access room. The entrance to the holiday apartment is at the side via approx. 9 steps.
In a separate part of the house there is a washing machine provided for the shared use of all guests.
A small paved way leads 200mtr down the slope to the fine sandy beach of Peroulia.
The close-by picturesque village Koroni with its port scenery, taverns and cafés make a nice change from the quiet and secluded area around Peroulia. Especially charming are also the towns of Pylos and Methoni on the western side of Messenia. There are also many untouched beaches on the coastline between Koroni and Pylos.

Für uns hat es alles gepasst, allerdings halte ich die Unterkunft für zwei Personen für geeigneter. Das 3. Bett stand unmittelbar im Eingangsbereich und hatte auch keine Tür zur anschließenden Küche. Das Doppelbett hatte eine wirklich gute Matratze, Aufstehen fiel richtig schwer. Ansonsten war alles da, was man braucht und wir haben doch kaum davon Gebrauch gemacht, da Essen- oder Trinkengehen wirklich toll und günstig ist. Wir hatten allerdings tolle Vorort-Infos. Maria, die uns willkommen hieß, hat uns sogar einmal einen sehr leckeren Auflauf mit reisgefüllten Paprika/Tomaten vorbeigebracht. Was auch positiv war, dass die Sonne nicht prall auf den großzügigen Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer schien (Juni) . Die Klimaanlagen haben wir insgesamt kaum gebraucht. Zur Vermittlung kann ich sagen, dass unwahrscheinlich schnell reagiert wurde - auch bei unserer kurzfristigen Verlängerung. Alles in allem wurden wir bestens über alle möglichen Reiseinformationen auf dem Laufenden gehalten.
