About this house rental
The Chabannet holiday home is situated in the heart of 7 hectares domain in the rolling landscape of the south of France, surrounded by green oaks, juniper bushes, gorse, thyme and lavender. The nearest neighbours live 500m away.
The house has been tastefully restored using ecological materials and in accordance with the original architecture. It is surrounded by a vast garden and orchard, offering a spectacular panoramic view.
Many activities are available in the area: walking trails, cycling, montain biking, horseriding, treetop adventure parks. The Ardèche Gorges are 25 km away.
The house, which accomondates 7 people, consists of a large living area with fireplace, four bedrooms (2 double beds and 3 single beds), a bathroom/WC. The spacious kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker and oven, a fredge/freezer and all the necessary kitchen utensils.
There is a well stocked collection of books ranging from classics to detective novels.
Arround the house everything has been arranged to help you to relax, there is a large covered terrace, a gazebo and a garden.
The house is ideal for allergy sufferers - all the material used are natural, the floor is tiled and the cleaning products are organic and without perfume.
The owner lives in a separate house behind the holiday home and will be delighted to let you discover her delicious jam.

The Chabannet holiday home is situated 7 km from the village of Valvignères, a small medieval village where you find a bakery/small growcery and a hotel-restaurant.
The village was founded 2000 years ago by the Romans and is known for the quality of its wines whitch you can taste at the local co-operative winery or at the 8 independant winemakers who produce natural, organic wines in and arround the village.
Markets in the surrounding villages offer local organic produce and welfaire friendly meat. At Alba la Romaine (14 km) you will find a range of local stores and services and there are supermarkets at Villeneuve de Berg (14 km) and Le Teil (18 km).
A visit to the archaeological site in Alba is a real journey back in time to the Gallo-Roman era. There is an annual circus festival in July in the Anthique theatre. The Grotte Chauvet 2 (30 km) is a replica of the 30,000 year old Grotte Chauvet, UNESCO World Heritage site.
You can swim in the river Ibie (15 km), the Nègue (13 km) or the Ardèche (25 km).
