Do you dream of sipping hot chocolate, relaxing and listening to the silence? Tucked away amidst the majestic mountains of the typical Swiss Alpine scenery lies the idyllic village of Lauterbrunnen, known for its scenic beauty and the magnificent Staubbach Falls opposite. Whether you are an adventure seeker who comes for hang gliding, parachuting, base jumping, climbing or mountain biking, or someone who wants to enjoy the lush greenery and colours of summer, the clean air and clear water - you will find your happiness here.

The 50 m² non-smoking flat "Ruhe in EyHus 5" on the first floor is cosily furnished, tiled and has adjustable central and underfloor heating. It offers a bedroom with a large EU king-size double bed, a single bed and an additional single mattress, a travel cot (for hire), ample wardrobe space and a view of the Staubbach Falls. The living room is furnished with two sofas, Wi-Fi internet (20 MB) - please note that there is no TV, but 400 English language films are available. A practical open-plan kitchen area (with dishwasher, 3 hotplates, oven, microwave, rice cooker) leads to the balcony. There is also a shower room/WC with hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

Outside you will find a covered balcony with an unobstructed view of the Staubbach Falls, perfect for relaxing hours outdoors. The flat is part of the quiet residential complex EyHus with seven parties and offers its own washing machine and tumble dryer as well as access to a ski room with private ski locker and table tennis facilities. Exclusive use also includes a covered car park. Located directly on the bus route to the Schilthorn cable car station, you can easily reach the Mürren/Schilthorn ski lifts and the Lauterbrunnen railway station.

The area offers not only great cheese shops, butchers and bakeries, but also ski hire, bike shops, hairdressing salons, watch and gift shops, restaurants, cafés, two banks, a post office, a petrol station, the tourist office, as well as opportunities for adventure sports, a swimming pool, mini golf, tennis and much more. A slightly longer walk takes you along the Lütschine and offers wonderful views, ideal for those seeking relaxation and nature lovers.

We enjoyed our stay at this little apartment in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The area is fantastic for hiking and the number of different hikes is limitless. The balcony looking at the falls was perfect after a long day of exploring the surrounding mountains. The apartment was mostly as described. The living room was spacious and a great place to relax. The bed was comfortable. We cooked a number of meals in the kitchen. There are plenty of kitchen utensils and supplies, including spices. The description of the apartment says that there is ample cupboard space. We like to unpack when we're staying for several days, but there was limited space for hanging clothes. The drawers in the bedroom were full of linens which we removed and placed on the spare bed. With more people, storage space would be lacking. The description also mentions a dvd player and dvds, none of which we could find. This was not a huge deal as we were out a lot, but we were looking forward to possibly having a movie night which we couldn't have. The location of the apartment was good. It was outside of the main hustle and bustle of the village, but close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants. We found a very peaceful path to the train station that we used several times. Be aware, as often happens in European villages, there is a village church very close to the apartment and they love to ring their bells! All this said, we really enjoyed our stay at Ey Hus and would recommend it and Lauterbrunnen as a place to stay and enjoy the Swiss Alps!
