Beautiful villa with private garden between the Etna vulcan and Taormina

Abbiamo appena trascorso una vacanza magnifica... La villa è favolosa, ci sono tutti i confort ed è vicinissima sia al mare che alla montagna ( l'Etna ) . Eravano 7 amici e ci siamo divertiti e rilassati tanto. Grazie anche a Vera che è stata squisita . Antonio

Slendida struttura adatta per una vacanza di relax sia al mare che in montagna, confortevole ampia comoda attrezzata di tutto l'occorrente per trascorrere una vacanza spensierata insieme alla famiglia o agli amici, ben posizionata per raggiungere le più belle città turistiche della Sicilia orientale. Colgo l'occasione per un saluto alla proprietaria per la bella accoglienza riservataci e per la sua disponibilità.

Wir sind vier Erwachsene und waren für eine Woche in dem Haus zu Besuch. Hierfür war es perfekt. Die Beschreibung des Hauses übertreibt nicht. Es ist sehr großzügig angelegt und äußerst gepflegt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Absolutes Highlight ist die Terrasse. Man kann durch Drehen des Stuhls wählen, ob man lieber auf den Ätna oder das Meer blicken möchte. Der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt und vermittelt mediterranes Flair. Wenn es mal kühler ist, lässt es sich auch wunderbar in Küche oder Wohnzimmer essen. Die Küche genügt mit ihrer Ausstattung normalen Anforderungen. Sehr praktisch ist der Abstellplatz für das Auto. Bedingt durch die Hanglage ist ein solches übrigens zwingend erforderlich. Die Ausfahrt auf die Hauptstraße ist nicht so gefährlich wie in einer Bewertung beschrieben. Zu bedenken ist dabei, dass Auto fahren auf Sizilien für den normalen Mitteleuropäer grundsätzich unangenehm und gefährlich ist. Die Einkaufsmögichkeiten im nahen Pisano sind ausreichend, wenn man keine Besonderheiten verlangt. Ab dem zweiten Einkauf gibt´s beim Bäcker auch Kredit, wenn man den Euro nicht passend zur Hand hat :-) Mehr Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es dann im ca. 10 Minuten entfernten schönen Zafferana. Bis zur Autobahn muss man bei angebrachter defensiver Fahrweise mindestens 20 Minuten auf teils sehr kleinen Sträßchen einrechnen. Angenehmer ist die Zufahrt über Giarre als über Accireale. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett, korrekt und spricht perfekt deutsch. Alles hat reibungslos funktioniert. Hier würden wir immer wieder Urlaub machen. Ein wunderschönes Haus.

We've just returned from a week here. There is plenty of room in the house and the furniture is comfortable. Everything we needed was supplied (kitchen equipment, linens etc). It was very clean but there were a lot of trip hazards in the way of rugs, and various ornaments and nick-nacks around the place giving it a slightly fussy feel. My 4-year-old loved the grapes and peaches growing in the garden. There are a lot of steps (2 flights) up to the front door so it isn't really suitable for those with mobility difficulties. Views to Etna and the sea on a clear day are tremendous - and so are the thunderstorms! The house is in a cul-de-sac but the exit to the main road is extremely dangerous with no visibility in either direction. A mirror across the road helps only a little. There was a bad road accident at that spot during our stay. While the location looks convenient on the map, the reality of the narrow winding roads and the Sicilian way of driving means that it takes longer to reach your destination than you might expect. Having said that, 40 minutes drive will take you to innumerable walking spots on the volcano, or to the cable car station to the summit. About an hour to Taormina and Catania airport. Pisano itself isn't much of a place (and despite the proximity, the nature of the road means it is not possible to walk there). Zafferana (20 mins drive) is a nice place to while away a couple of hours. Nearest sandy beach is north of Taormina just below the autostrada exit. I personally wouldn't return to this particular house, but it gives an ideal and comfortable base for anyone interested in mountain activities in particular.
