Best view. Nice swimming pool. Staff helped unloading when we got there. Very nice layout.

That there is no aircon.

Layout, space, pool, staff, views, WiFi and beach access.

Could be improved with air conditioning; and the hob changed for an electric version (the wind blows the gas hob out, but without the doors open it’s very hot and stuffy). But in the scheme of things these are minor niggles; very much outweighed by the positives. FYI the road in is just sand. Deep in places. A proper 4x4 is very much needed; with low range, a diff lock and all terrain tyres deflated to 2 bar or there abouts. While I quite liked the adventure of it all you need to be prepared with the proper gear.

The lack of provisions and amenities, combined with the remote location, was not made known to us until the week of our arrival. Just three days before leaving for our trip, an email was received stating we needed to bring everything down to toilet paper for our stay. Not even hand soap was provided in the bathrooms. The sand “roads” and lacking directions made for a stressful drive in. Once at the house, we did not want to leave for fear of getting stuck in the sand. Additionally, being in a malaria zone, we expected, at the very least, to have mosquito netting in the bedrooms. Sadly, no netting and no air-con were provided, making the nights hot and stuffy, because as soon as we opened the windows the mosquitos would fly in. We lost power for most of the second day, and WiFi for the third. Hosts were communicative and helpful but it was still a frustration we didn’t anticipate on our “relaxing” holiday. Overall, for the price of our stay - we expected more. It is an absolutely stunning view and villa, no doubt. But it didn’t feel like much of a vacation with all the stress and hassle.
