About this house rental
Surrounded by green nature is the Finca Cueva del Viento in the municipality of Icod de los Vinos. This is a 150 year old house, the restoration of which has paid particular attention to preserving the original structure and character of the house. The quiet location of the finca makes it ideal for relaxing.
The German landlord also lives on the 1.5 hectare property, who is happy to help you with 30 years of experience in Tenerife for good tips and help. His wife also offers natural therapies and therapeutic massages in the practice, which is also on the property.
Due to its location in the northeast of the island, the finca is particularly suitable for nature lovers who want to spend a quiet vacation away from mass tourism.
The rustic holiday home with its Canarian charm offers 55 m² of living space for up to three people, a bedroom, a bathroom and a living and dining area with an open kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped and offers an oven, a gas stove and a refrigerator as well as other kitchen utensils, such as a coffee machine.
The adjoining living room contains a cozy sofa that can be converted into a sleeping place, as well as the dining table, which visually separates the living area from the kitchen together with a counter.
In the bedroom there is a double bed with bedside tables and storage space for the wardrobe.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and sink.
For nice hours in the fresh air there is a furnished terrace with a grill. There is also a small garden here and the view is over the vineyards and nature. The Teide and the sea can also be seen from here.
Among the sensacioinen of Icod de los vinos is the butterfly garden or the famous dragon tree. For the more adventurous, a visit to the Cueva del Viento (Cave of the Wind) is highly recommended. The beach of Playa de San Marcos with its restaurants is a cozy place to look at.

Tolle Unterkunft mit ländlichem Charakter, Hundebellen, Vogelzwitschern und Hahnenkrähen inklusive. Total entspannter Vermieter. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir waren im Februar/März 2022 auf der urigen Finka. Die Anfahrt gelang uns dank der Unterstützung durch den Vermieter Robert problemlos. Die Finka liegt etwa 3 Minuten Fußweg auf dem rießigen Grundstück mitten im satten Grün. Robert leistete bei unserer Ankunft mittels Schubkarre beim Gepäck völlig unkompliziert Unterstützung. Das einzige was man dort hinten hört, ist Vogelgezwitscher und machmal, weit entfernt, ein paar Hunde. Die auf Kartenansichten nahe TF5 ist absolut nicht zu hören. Somit ist es ein traumhafter Ort der Entschleunigung. Auch wegen des Blickes auf den Atlantik von der einladenden Sitzgruppe vom vorderen Teil des Gartens aus. Allen "WinterBesuchern" raten wir zu bedenken, dass sich die Finka genau in der Passat-Nebelzone befindet. Warme Kleidung muss hier auf jeden Fall mit ins Gepäck, da es doch, wie bei uns sehr oft, vernebelt war. Robert sorgte hier aber unermütlich dafür, dass wir immer ausreichend Feuerholz von duftender kanarischer Kiefer vor der Hütte hatten. Der Holzofen auf der Finke brannte bei uns fast jeden Abend, was für uns den Aufenthalt somit umso gemütlicher gestaltete. Hierfür nochmals unseren allerbesten dank. Auch für den Begrüßungswein und die täglich frischen Eier der heimischen Hühner. Die Ausstattung der Finka ist simpel, aber völlig ausreichend und allumfassend. Einzig die Waschmaschine fehlte bei unserem Aufenthalt. Das W-Lan
funktioniert nur in der Wohnstube und am Esstisch in der Grillecke. Hier aber mit ausreichender Kapazität für Video-Steaming Fazit: Wer Urlaub im Grünen sucht und eine ausgeprägte Camping- und Natur-Ader hat ist hier vorzüglich aufgehoben. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Robert hat uns herzlich Willkommen geheißen. Wir waren sehr erfreut über das frische Obst aus dem Garten, und den Eiern von seinen Hühnern, sowie den leckeren Empfangswein und das kalt gestellte Bier. Diese Aufmerksamkeit und auch der Service das Gepäck zum Haus zu bringen, hat uns sehr gefallen und uns sofort heimisch fühlen lassen. Absolute Ruhe, Natur pur und ein Grillabend machten den Kurzurlaub perfekt. Kind, Hunde und 3 Erwachsene konnten entspannt die Finca genießen. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben das kleine und wirklich kanarische Haus sehr genossen. Diese Idylle drum herum ist sehr selten bei Ferienhäusern. Der Weg zum Haus ist mega steil und furchteinflößend, aber die Autos schaffen es schon. Vom Auto bis zum Haus ist noch ein kleiner Fußweg zurück zulegen, für Einkäufe und Gepäck gibt es dafür eine Schubkarre, sehr praktisch. Die angegebene Waschmaschine ist im Haus vom Vermieter, nicht im Ferienhaus.
