About this house rental
Once through the security gates, wind your way through the dense pine forest, over the salt marsh bridge, and marvel at the quiet beauty of coastal South Carolina's Low Country. Watch for snowy egrets, great blue herons, alligators and turtles on the creek banks. Plenty of parking for your extended family when you arrive at our comfortable beach-front house. Step out to the screened-in porch and enjoy a cool breeze as you take in a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. Grab your towel and raid our 'beach-toy' closet for beach chairs and lots of playthings for the kids.
After a relaxing swim and a dig in the sand, take a walk down the beach to the Baruch Foundation's Hobcaw Barony. Undeveloped and preserved for perpetuity, witness this unparalleled sanctuary used by Clemson, USC and other institutions for important ecological research.

Beyond DeBordieu, excellent dining and shopping are minutes away at Pawley's Island, or at the historic Port of Georgetown along the lovely waterfront boardwalk. We love the Lemmon House! My husband and I have been bringing our blended family for years. It's a delightfully old fashioned and comfortable beach home, big enough for everyone to have their own space, and of course, right on the oceanfront. No need to take up room in the car with chairs and sand toys: there are plenty at the house for guests to use. The owners are attentive and super nice. For anyone who has not been to Debordieu Colony ("Debidue"), it is hands down one of the most beautiful places in the South Carolina low country. Miles of bike/walking trails, a fishing dock on a tidal creek, a crabbing area, and plenty of wildlife (you are certain to encounter alligators!) If you want shopping and dining, Pawleys Island, the Georgetown waterfront, and Murrells Inlet are a short drive away.

This is a wonderful beachfront cottage. There was lots of space for our family of 9 to spread out and relax. We loved the outdoor shower, the big screen porch, the easy access to the beach and the community pool. The vintage style is similar to houses we have enjoyed on Pawley’s Island. We felt very relaxed and “ at home”. The kitchen was well equipped and the round dining room table is wonderful. I hope we can return!

Amazing week with family and a few friends. House is a perfect beach vibe. Plenty of space for all to be comfortable! Great dining table for family meals and games! Well equipped kitchen! Fabulous beach access! Property manager is exceptional with communication! Second year at the Lemmon House and plan to go again next year! 10/10
