The long Marielyst beach is one of the best beaches in Denmark and is also extremely child-friendly. At Møllegården in Idestrup, not far from here, your children can go for a ride on a pony. The Guldborgsund Zoo and the medieval centre with workshops and knights' tournaments in Nykøbing Falster also offer an exciting day out. Hikers should visit the southern tip of Gedser Odde and Denmark's southernmost lighthouse. In spring and autumn, you can watch tens of thousands of migratory birds there. Also plan a day trip to Knuthenborg Safaripark.
