Live a unique 'provencale' experience in the heart of the Luberon

We had a great stay in Apt. Communication with the owner was excellent. The apartment is in a great location - right off a pedestrian street but very quiet. There is a lovely garden area right in front of the apartment. The rooms are large - we didn’t even use the LR and hung out at the huge dining table. We had all we needed to prepare meals, but had easy options within a minute or two for bread, pastries fruits and veggies. There are some nice restaurants and bars scattered around town. The Saturday market takes over the whole town, including the square outside the door, and we had coffee from the fellow who sets up steps away. Beds were comfy, hot water was always available, and we enjoyed having a washer and dryer. Apt is in a great location for visiting the Luberon - most sites are within 30 -60 minutes. We drove to Aix, plus went to Gordes, Bonnieux, Rousillon, Menerbes, Lacoste, Bedoin and Sault. We got up very early one day so one of our group could cycle up Mt Ventoux - she did it and we all enjoyed the amazing views from the top. It was blazing hot during our stay - but as long as the shutters and windows were closed in the day, it was very comfy for sleeping. The only hitch was parking - we never figured out how to drive into the square in front of the apartment, and often spent time looking around for parking spaces. However, the main square is quite close and has tons of parking, even on market day if you park in the right area of the lot.

The 2 of us stayed a week early in May 2026 (perfect weather!).This was a fabulous rental and base for exploring the country and small Provence towns around Apt. We enjoyed the ancient part of Apt, and this modern remodel of a fabulous old residence was very special. Karen has thought of everything, the home is artistically decorated, and it is large inside—much more than just the 2 of us needed, really would be great for more people. Loved it!

This is our second stay in this apartment, semi-dead of winter. The work on the Place Jean Jaures is almost done, we had hoped to see the finished work but it was interesting to watch the fine workmanship that went into the product. The location is excellent for walking within the city, and driving on day trips to Aix, Avignon and the Sunday market in L'Isle sur la Sorgue is a must do for lovers of food and brocante. Leave by 9:00 am to have a decent parking spot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The furniture, appliances, artwork, and decor are high end and unique. The apartments architecture is amazing and it is obvious that the owners were very thoughtful in their renovation. One of the things we liked most about the apartment is that it does not have a sterile rental property feel; instead it feels like someones home. No detail was overlooked and everything we needed was at our fingertips. The property is an ideal base from which to visit several of the areas picturesque villages. If the opportunity arose, we would definitely stay in this beautiful apartment again.
