About this apartment rental

We just rent one apartment, shown by the pictures; in this way our guests have complete privacy both for the garden & the terrace with Jacuzzi. Ideally located in the centre of Umbrian region. Within 15 minuts by car you can reach many interesting places like Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Montefalco, Todi...and many other small villages where to enjoy the tradions of architecture, religion, food, wine and craftsmanship.Our farmhouse, enjoys a wonderfull view over the river Tiber valley and over the rolling hills of Perugia. Our Jacuzzi, perfect to refresh during summer and relax, is set on the huge balcony where the view is breathtaking especially at sunset. Jacuzzi pool open from the beginning of June, till the end of September.
Big garden, deckchairs, barbecue, available for free. Riding and fishing place are very close.Many walking paths around.

We spent wonderful week there. The hosts are very welcome and ready to give you any help you need. The place is quiet and there is beautiful panorama from the taras. The house is comfortable, clean and cosy. The jacuzzi is also amazing thing on top of it. It's a good base for visiting many places in Umbria. It's possible to get from the house to provincionale road in 7 minutes.

We never got to meet Monia, as she was away, but her brother, Mauro, took excellent care of us. He met us at the bottom of the hill and escorted us to the house and showed us around. He responded immediately to texts and questions, and gave us wonderful recommendations (we loved touring the olive oil mill that he takes his family's olives to). The house is a family home, a simple farmhouse but clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The uncle lives next door but we rarely saw or heard him, and we loved the sense of privacy we had. The internet did go out on us mid week but that was no big deal as we had our own sources. The home is centrally located in Umbria, close to many popular places, and we loved coming back each night for a dip in the "hot/cold" tub and the amazing views. The sunsets were spectacular. It was a perfect spot for our family.

A beautiful place, a spacious traditional farmhouse building with a fantastic raised patio with far reaching views from the hot tub over the olive groves to the rolling Umbrian hills. Mauro and Monia are friendly and were always easily contactable to offer local advice and help should we need it. A good base to explore local hilltop towns/villages and vineyards, Assisi, Montefalco, Todi and Bevagna amongst others. Very good pizzeria/restaurant - i morti di fame - at the bottom of the hill and restaurant - la locanda del colle - in walking distance up it. One of the most peaceful and beautiful places we've spent time. Oh, and a very friendly cat. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

My wife and i togeteher with our two best friends stayed here for 10 days in May 2015 and we all fell in love with this hidden gem of a place. Monia and her family are absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. We were made to feel at home right from the off when Mauro (her brother) met us near the E45 and we followed him to the villa in our rental car. I could go on about the "jaw dropping" scenery and wonderful villages and towns to visit, but perhaps the best recommendation is that i have literally just booked the Villa again with Monia for our return in May 2016. "My husband and I have just returned from this lovely, spotlessly clean, and well appointed house in the foothills of the Apennines. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone wishing to enjoy a glimpse of Italian life in the olive groves, surrounded by wonderful scenery and with fabulous sunsets on the terrace. Monia and her family have been most friendly and welcoming. Monia, who speaks very good English,is always happy to share her local knowledge,from where it''s best to park in the big tourist spots like Assisi and Perugia, to buying lovely local wine and hams at reasonable prices.Not to mention the the small local restaurants, not much frequented by tourists, serving traditional regional foods. If you need any information that she does not have at her finger-tips, she is happy to find out for you, and really does ring you back. Me and my friend had a great time in this beautiful property. The house is big, nicely furbished and well equipped, in the perfect location - pretty close to all main roads but also high up so you can enjoy the peace, birds singing, silence,olive trees, cats, but in 15 min you can get to civilisation. There are amazing sunsets there and you can enjoy them while drinking wine in jacuzzi on the terrace. It is in the middle of Umbria, close to all places you would like to see. There is a supermarket just 15 min away (by car. The owner Monia is a very nice person, we actually chose the house because her emails were so warm and friendly. Her family is the olive oil producer so we also get a discount on olive oil :) If I ever go back to Umbria I will choose Monia's house again.

"We loved our 2-week stay in Canalicchio. This farmhouse apartment is spacious and comfortable with a large kitchen/living area and comfortable beds. It is well-equipped and spotlessly clean, with parking right outside the door. The family was extremely generous to us, left us a great deal of information regarding sight-seeing and restaurants, and went out of their way to be helpful. We really appreciated their friendliness and would love to return. We felt we had died & gone to heaven when we opened our bedroom window each morning to the breathtaking view of the Umbrian countryside and the gentle sound of the church bell on the hill opposite. We explored many beautiful hill-top villages in the area – all built with local stone, and many with excellent museums and lovely old churches. We also drove to many wonderfully interesting towns, but were always glad to return to this blissfully quiet and enchanting landscape and watch the sunset from the terrace where we had a view over Perugia in the distance. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment for its amenity, its stunning location and its accessibility to many other wonderful places. 5/5"

Une location simple et bien située en pleine campagne loin de tous les bruits et à proximité de tous les plus beaux sites de Ombrie. La terrasse et le SPA sont un véritable lieu de détente avec une belle vue et de beaux coucher de soleil. Monia est très serviable et attentive à votre confort. Il y a aussi le chat Chester, un gentil matou sympa et câlin. Bref,une bonne adresse à retenir.

Soggiorno di una settimana bellissimo! La casa è in una posizione perfetta per visitare l'Umbria. I proprietari sono stati davvero ospitali: gentili, premurosi e molto disponibili per qualsiasi nostra necessità. Noi abbiamo soggiornato con una coppia di amici e nostro figlio di 8 mesi, è stata una vacanza perfetta, i tramonti e le cene sul terrazzo ad ammirare le distese di ulivi e natura sono da cartolina! Per non parlare del bagno nella vasca idromassaggio dopo una giornata di camminate in giro per splendidi borghi Umbri..rigenerante! Consigliatissimo a chi cerca il giusto equilibrio per una vacanza itinerante tra le città/paesini Umbri in assoluto relax! Grazie a Monia e a tutta la sua famiglia! Valentina

Location tranquilla perfetta per bambini , ottima posizione per chi vuole muoversi in più direzioni. La signora Monia è stata disponibilissima e attenta per tutte le nostre esigenze. wir verbrachten in diesem haus eine sehr schöne zeit. die lage des hauses ist wunderbar. zwar mit einer kleinen anfahrt auf geteerten nebenstrassen aber es lohnt sich. tolle aussicht ins tal und zu den gegenüberliegenden bergen. Monia und Mauro waren immer da, wenn mal ein kleines Problem war. auf jeden fall empfehlenswert.

Wir waren zwei Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Feriendomizil - auf der Suche nach Erholung, Ruhe und einer schönen Landschaft - und haben all das vorgefunden. Das Haus war genau so, wie die Bilder es gezeigt haben, mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt und sehr sauber und mit richtig viel Platz. Wir sind liebevoll empfangen worden, haben von unseren Gastgebern einen Korb mit einheimischen Produkten geschenkt bekommen - sehr lecker, vor allem das Olivenöl ist einmalig. Das schönste Detail dieser Ferienwohnung ist die Terrasse mit eigenem Jacuzzi und einem atemberaubenden Ausblick in die Landschaft - wir haben jeden Morgen dort gefrühstückt und viele wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge erlebt - diese Momente waren einfach wunderschön! Das Wasser wurde regelmäßig kontrolliert und es war Genuß, im Jacuzzi die Ruhe zu genießen und uns von den Ausflügen in die schönen kleinen Orte der Umgebung zu erholen. Wir danken Monia und Mauro und ihrer Familie für die schöne Zeit dort und können die Ferienwohnung für Erholungsuchende nur empfehlen. Violet und Werner

Nous remercions monia et son frère pour cette agréable séjour dans une maison reposante ,jolie et fonctionnelle, fraîche et avec une terrasse magnifique. Le gite est très bien situé pour découvrir l'Ombrie : Pérouse, Assise, le lac Trasimene, et au sud la cascade delle marmore... Les touristessont moins nombreux qu'en Toscane, mais paysages sont aussi beaux, et les villages sont très authentiques.Le gîte est conforme à la description : grand et facile à vivre. Monia nous a très bien accueillis. Nous avons bien profité du jaccuzi après les visites faites en journée. Il faut juste prévoir des répulsifs contre les moustiques quand on va à l'extérieur vers 18h... C'est un gîte que nous recommandons.
