About this villa rental
Our villa is a heritage family house, at least hundred and fifty years old, on a peaceful island off the city of Split (45 minutes by ferry/ 6 ferries per day). It provided roots to a family that is now scattered along three continents. Its thick stone walls preserve heat in winter and freshness in summer, as well a spirit of previous generations that can be glimpsed from old framed family photos. According to the traditional architecture, there are three different terraces for different time of the day or season. Under our more than half a century old grape pergolas you can enjoy late breakfast and lunch, while an open sun deck, next to the pool, is perfect for dinner and star gazing late into the night.
Staying in this traditional compound, also comprising a small organic garden with seasonal vegetables for you to use, will make you understand what used to be traditional, village Dalmatian life, while at the same time all modern amenities will help you relax and enjoy your stay. We love our family house passionately and try to pass that feeling to our guests.
The villa is located in a traditional village about 2.5 km from the sea and 1 km from shops. Peace and quiet reigns except for occasional concerts and the village Church festival on August 15.
The villa offers a lot of space (4 bedrooms) and comfort (3 bathrooms/toilets). It has all modern amenities (dishwasher, AC, WiFi, big-size cable TV, washing-machine). There is a large living room upstairs with the cable TV.
And finally you can dip into the swimming pool (about 10m long), day or night, secluded from village eyes.
It can house 7 people, but will give a lot of space to hide and relax. The whole compound is about 130 sq. m.

The house was comfortable, very clean and well equipped. The pool is a great size and perfect for cooling down when it's hot.We enjoyed the outside spaces and Zoran was always readily available whenever we needed him.For us Solta was a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed finding different coves and visiting different beaches. The boat trip around the island and swimming in the little coves in the turquiose water was a highlight. Snorkelling around the rocks and kayaking/paddle boarding around Necujam was fun too. It was very hot when we were there so we didn't manage any hikes. However we did venture up Vela Straza to watch the spectacular sunset one evening.We also went to the winery nearby and enjoyed some lovely food and wine.If you want lots of shops and sightseeing Solta probably isn't for you as there isn't much of that.Overall we enjoyed our time on beautiful Solta.

We had a realy good time on Solta.
Nice house with a nice pool.
We had a realy good traditional dinner at the neighburs, winery.
There are plenty of good quite beaches on the island.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines formidables dans la maison d'Ines et Christophe. Nous avons apprécié les différents espaces extérieurs, la piscine immense, le potager (quel bonheur de cuisiner les légumes du jardin) mais aussi la maison si agréable à vivre.
Srednje Selo est un ravissant petit village calme et chaleureux à la fois, bien placé pour rayonner dans Šolta (même si rien n''est loin à Šolta). Merci enfin à Zoran, qui s'occupe de la maispn, pour sa gentillesse.
