Located on the ground floor of a condominium complex, AnnaMare is a lovely house located near the sea and the enchanting sandy beach of Marina di Modica, a typical seaside resort on the southern coast of Sicily which also boasts a white cliff that slopes down to the sea and a large pedestrian promenade. The favorable wind conditions, guaranteed by its favorable exposure, have made her a little piece of paradise for fans of surf and windsurf. The house is just a few hundred meters from Fornace Penna, a splendid example of industrial archeology located in Pisciotto a Sampieri, a hamlet of the Municipality of Scicli, and more known in recent years as "la Mannara" because used as a film set in the television drama "Commissioner Montalbano ". Nearby are also other interesting places like the cities of the Val di Noto as Modica, Scicli, Ragusa-Ibla, Noto and Siracusa, the important archaeological and natural sites of Cava d'Ispica, Cava Grande and the Oasis Vendicari, and the famous beaches of Pozzallo, Porto Ulisse, Marzamemi and Portopalo.

Ho scelto la casa per me e la mia famiglia in base alle immagini ed alla descrizione trovati sul sito, e sono stata veramente contenta di avere trovato tutto così come specificato nell'annuncio. La casa era pulita, curata e dotata di tutto ciò che serviva per rendere il nostro soggiorno piacevole e confortevole (anche più di quello che mi aspettavo di trovare) con un eccellente rapporto qualità/prezzo. La padrona di casa è stata molto disponibile e ci ha fornito tutte le indicazioni sia turistiche che pratiche sul paese e sui dintorni. La spiaggia splendida e la bambina si è divertita molto sia a mare sia durante le passeggiate serali sul lungomare con immancabile sosta all'area bimbi. In paese è possibile trovare tutto il necessario sia per non dover mai cucinare che per preparare dei pasti in casa e non abbiamo trovato i prezzi cari come si può pensare per una località turistica. Consiglio decisamente il soggiorno a Marina di Modica ed alla Casa AnnaMare, noi stiamo già pensando di tornarci il prossimo anno...

Siamo stati molto contenti della scelta di questo posto.
Le foto e la descrizione corrispondevano esattamente, la casa è molto ben tenuta, spaziosa, pulita, a due passi dal mare e con lo spazio esterno molto godibile.
Un ringraziamento particolare a Simona, che ci ha accolto, consigliato e fatto visitare la struttura che hanno a Modica, sempre con molta cortesia.
Da consigliare assolutamente.

A great location for discovering southern Sicily. Our hostess greeted us with a smile and a basket of local specialties. Only problem was the missing air conditioning; although, due to a heat wave which had even local people complaining, she rented a mobile unit for us, for which we are extremely grateful. All in all, a great place.

We chose Annamare because it looked very stylish in the photos, and we were not disappointed. The apartment is not large, but has everything you need; plus the well-tended garden provides more space. In fact, you could almost live in the garden, since it comes with an additional kitchen corner! On our first night, after a late arrival (Ryanair) we did actually cook and eat in the garden, since our kind hostess had provided the basics for a meal (and also for breakfast). Simona was helpful throughout, and would text to ask if we needed anything.The village of Marina di Modica is mainly a holiday location, and was quiet late in the season, but all the restaurants were open, as was the small food shop. The apartment is a few minutes walk from the pleasant promenade along the seafront, or from the main village centre.The beautiful UNESCO-listed baroque towns are a short drive away. Even Siracusa can be reached in about an hour, which was the longest trip we made. For fans of Commissario Montalbano films, there are sights you will recognise in Ragusa, Scicli and Modica, not to mention Marinella, or Punta Secca in real life. As a bonus, the ruin used as la Mànnara, la Fornace Penna, is just a stroll along the coast from Marina di Modica!Finally, dont miss the gelato from Fiore, on Via Verrazzano, near the Western end of the promenade!
