Skaloma: Villa in Skaloma

Nous vous conseillons cette location d''autant plus si vous voulez aussi visiter quelques sites en Grèce comme Delphes ou le Péloponnèse"

"We have spent in this house probably our best holiday. We are two families and we have 3 kids. The house is very large with comfortable rooms and extremely well equipped (how often do you find coffee machine, dishwasher, cooking spices, barbecue, maps of the place, satellite TV in a holiday house?). You will never miss anything you might need. The beach just in front of the house might induce you to forget about moving around; clean, crystal water and very few people: it is almost like a private beach. Swimming, fishing, sunbathing: perfect for all sea activities and for every age. If you want to meet other people, you are not isolated. About 700 meters on the right there is the nice village of Skaloma crowded with young greek people and families and nice greek pubs. On the left side at 500 meters there is a hotel with swimming pool you can use and at 900 meters the village of Marathias which is perfect for dinner: all kinds of greek restaurants. It easy to find good fresh grilled fish at very low prices (half compared to what we use to pay in Italy). You only need a car to buy food (supermarkets and shops are in Nafpaktos, 15 km); for fruit and vegetables at least in summer there is a hawker passing daily in front of the house so you can go to supermarket weekly. Nafpaktos is beautiful and with a lot of history: don''t miss the castle. You can visit Delphi in 1 hour drive and in 15 minutes drive + 5 minutes boat reach the small and fascinating Trizonia island (and when you are back there is a fish restaurant just at the boat harbour where the owner fishes in the morning and cooks fish in the evening, you cannot choose the fish but you will be impressed: you have never tasted anything that fresh! You dine by the boat that fished the food you are eating...). This house is great whatever your age and whatever your need: young couples, families, groups of young friends, elder people, everybody will find its own dimension, here. The area is populated by local Greek tourism, never crowded and with a flavor of tradition. The house owner is very precise and puts all possible care in making your holiday comfortable. She lives in Belgium but the local contact is a very supportive Greek woman who is kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our holiday, if you want to understand why we are so enthusiastic you should try a couple of weeks there. Only 1 problem: it is hard to come back to Milano..."
