About this apartment rental

Quiet location on the outskirts with large pool and garden

The newly renovated apartment offers great comfort on 100sqm. The apartment is located on the ground floor and 1st floor of a traditional 'Mas' (18th century). Equipped with a large living and dining area, it can accommodate up to 8 people. The kitchen has a Beko dishwasher, Ariston hot plate, Ariston oven, Nespresso coffee machine, Samsung fridge/freezer, Whirlpool microwave and LG washing machine. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with an Italian shower. A bedroom with 2 single beds (90X200) and one bedroom with 1 single bed (90X200) both with a separate toilet are also located on the ground floor. On the 1st Floor there are 2 separate bedrooms. One is ideal for kids and is equipped with two single beds (90X200). The second and largest is equipped with a double bed (180X200). On the 1st floor there is also one bathroom with shower and WC. The living area has a small office area with wireless Internet access and a couch, as well as a flat screen LG TV with satellite channels and DVD.

The apartment is located on a 5 000m² large, quiet property with a beautiful garden, which (depending on the season) supplies the fruits to the house. Between olives, figs, pomegranates, apricots and grapes you can still find the underground remains of the Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard, which is only 8km away. Adjacent to the property is another attraction, which is especially appreciated by the children: here HARIBO fabricates its sweet treats, which can be visited and tasted directly in front of the door in the 'Musée du bonbon'!

By car you can reach the city center in about 5 minutes, a shopping center in 2 minutes, and the bakery in 1 minute.

In 2015, the region was internationally recognized by UNESCO as the World Biosphere Reserve (les Gorges du Gardon, Uzès and Nîmes, June 2015).

    We enjoyed our stay very much. It is in a quiet rural setting, although there was some noise from building work on a property nearby for a couple of days. The property is half of an old farm building. The other half is let by the same owner. We stayed 3 weeks during which time there were 3 sets of other families in the other half. These were short lets of less than a week. The swimming pool (well maintained and cleaned daily) is shared, but this was not a problem with the neighbours we had. There is an internal connecting door between the two half's which is locked when rented separately, but is not soundproof. We were greeted and shown around by an employee and the friendly owner Nicholas visited us and welcomed us after a few days as he had been on holiday when we arrived. The town of Uzès is a delight to visit and eat in, and the markets on a Wednesday and Saturday are a must.
