Pleasant stay overall, but definitely upgrade refurbishment required

Broken lift Had issues with heating in room, it was quite cold. Draughty bedroom window. Loose tile in bathroom, trip hazard Draught coming in the window even though window closed. People urinating in underground carpark. Lifts when aer operating they are very slow to come.

Worst experience in a hotel

Our first room we were located in had a strong smell of urine in the bathroom, mainly around the shower area as it was a wet room. We then got moved to another room which was located directly above an events room were the music was ridiculously loud. We then got moved to another room at 11pm directly above the previous room which again music didn't seem to get much better. We stayed with my mum and daughter aged 8 who could not sleep due to the noise level. Very disappointed, I have never experienced a hotel stay like it.

It was very central to where we needed to be which was the hospital

The only issue was how warm the room was, the room was preheated and we tired to cool it down, we had the window open but the noise from the road was too much, we asked for a fan but they didn’t have any.

Great stay in Tallaght

The staff was great, breakfast was solid, room was clean, bed was confortable, the bar had good beers and drinks in the menu, in general our stay was great and there isn't much to complain to be honest

There were 2 occasions that there was no hot water in the shower which was kinda frustrating, it was marathon weekend, the hotel was quite full, so maybe a lot of people taking showers, also the location isn't the most easy to get to after leaving the Luas, a little walk is needed.

Very spacious room, spotless bedlinen, soft white towels, coffee making facilities, newer smart TV. Also shampoo and bodywash in shower /bath combo. Great area close to shopping centre, close to restaurants, shops, cinema, etc

In my room the shower was downright rotten, so dirty. The sink was cracked, There was a some little hole in the wall in shower. It was said that there was sound insulation, but I turned on the music in the evening, although only at half the volume, but they came to us and said that they heard screams and we need to be quieter. Lovely quiet hotel for nearby events in the area

Hotel close to event we were attending. Ease of booking and checkout. Good selection at breakfast.

Breakfast was included in the price but it's a criticism I have about all hotels. Breakfast is too expensive. Myself and my 11 year child would not eat €18 pp (in this hotel)worth of breakfast so I think it's strange there is a blanket cost for this meal. It's even more expensive in other hotels we've stayed in.

Tallaght stay

We made a specific room request which the hotel did for us. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and we had great sleeps due to the blackout curtains. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice. On site parking was a real bonus.

Fantastic location, clean, tidy and modern! Would stay again!

The property was modern and clean, and the staff were super friendly. The food in their restaurant was amazing! The car parking was secure.

The noise from the road outside was pretty loud, so used ear plugs to sleep. Couldn’t seem to call the lift down to the car parking level, so had to use the stairs. Think the button may have been broken, as we met someone else who was staying there who had the same issue. Also, definitely a personal preference, but I found the pillows to be too “thick”.

The staff were great - friendly and helpful. Assisted us very well at check in and check out. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking was easily accessible and at no additional cost. Location was close (5 minutes walk) to the Luas stop for access into Dublin city centre. The bar staff were extremely attentive and friendly.

1. One single lift/elevator in a hotel that size is not sufficient - while I/we didn't mind taking the stairs to and from the third floor - I noticed quite a few people struggle with their luggage. 2. We had dinner on the first night - being honest, the food was barely passable - the kids had Pizza which was undercooked and they left half of it. I had a pasta dish which was tasteless and kept together with cornflour - not pleasant. My wife had a steak and chips which were fine - overall poor value for money. We were only asked after an hour 'if everything was all right'. 3. Breakfast was passable, not great. The brown bread looked lovely but had the texture of sawdust. Reasonable choice if you wanted the full Irish, but not if you wanted the continental option. 4. Why oh why do hotels not train their staff on their own policies (and not just this hotel!)? If you have a policy that states "we care for the environment, leave your towels in the bath if you want them changed etc", then if a guest doesn't leave them in the bath - why change them out? It's annoying. 5. Two keys issued for each room. Only one key operates the door and the second one is only to operate the electricity - I wonder how many guests, like us, assumed that they both worked and found ourselves locked out of our room - surely for dual occupancy it would make sense for both keys to operate the door? People aren't necessarily joined at the hip!

Room was a little warm, although the fan sorted that. Had a knock on the door at 11am although check out was not until 12, but the lady was very polite so not a big deal. Was just a bit unnecessary as we were leaving anyway.

Couldn't fault it - it was perfect for our stay.

Beds were really comfortable - we always find it hard to sleep the first night in a different bed but the beds in the Plaza were probably the most comfortable we have had in a hotel. Good size underground parking with plenty of spots available. Good dinner in the evening.
