Cosy, comfortable and a home away from home.

Everything- comfort, location to the town centre and train and bus. The cottage is cosy and well equipped. Having arrived after a flight from Florence we were delighted to find a welcoming pack of eggs, bread,milk, butter and Scottish pancakes as well as abundant tea and coffee. Elise responded quickly to a small request and had also checked that we had accessed the cottage. Our twelve night stay was wonderful. Thank you Elise.

Great place as a base for touring area

Lovely cottage that was within easy (5 minute walk) of the town centre. It was very quiet whilst we were there but it maybe a little noisier when there is a football match on as the club is on the same road but don’t let that put you off. A great location for touring the area. The garden was a nice place to sit in and enjoy the afternoon sun.

Beautifully decorated house in a friendly town.

Easy communication; owner lives next door. Private parking. Lovely little cottage with many thoughtful and personal touches. Extensive welcome pack of food. Good size for a couple, would be fine for 4. Hot water was plentiful. Great location in an authentic Scottish town with friendly people and wonderful country walks, easy drive into Inverness and around the Black Isle.

Comfortable & in great location.

Very clean, comfortable & attractive decoration. The owners had added several mirrors and wall lights to boost the natural light. The location was excellent: near shops restaurants, pubs, the station, bus stops and (if you are interested) the football ground, home of Ross county.

There wasn't any view. This was partly because of being ground floor, but mostly on account of frosted glass / privacy film on the windows. On the other hand, this did ensure complete privacy.

Great location and a well equipped property with great character

The location. Being on the edge of the town it was handy to walk to all amenities. The property was well equipped for cooking the local produce we found on our travels. On that subject, the location meant that it was easy travel to all the places on our itinerary- Skye, Ullapool, Dornoch and the black isle. The property has heaps of character.

We spend days exploring all directions and loved the feeling of this being our "home" for the week;

The building (formerly a courthouse), is an interesting conversion and this small lodge charming with its little square of lawn and courtyard. It is just a 5 minute walk across the bridge into the high street of Dingwall and easy to shop at award winning butchers as well a Tesco super store. Easy entry with host giving code for box a few hours before. Rooms have high ceilings and is freshly decorated in white/grey tones. Bedrooms are spacious, galley kitchen reasonably well equipped, bathroom shower very small but with fantastic shower pressure and HUGE choice of soaps/shampoos etc. Very good wifi speed. Nice touch that host supplied some milk and eggs and bread etc. Much appreciated.

The small fridge did not have a freezer compartment (only discovered I had purchased ice cream etc). The following points are purely personal and may not affect many other travellers: The sofa, whilst of ample size, and with an assortment of attractive cushions, was sagging and uncomfortable to sit on. Whilst the bed linens complemented the overall decor, my preference is for crisp white cotton. On the whole, no complaints at all.

Immaculately clean, well stocked with practical supplies, available when promised. An excellent stay. The host is friendly while respecting privacy. Virtually next to the train station, in a wonderful castle-style building.

Great location in a pretty town

Location was great for getting into Dingwall and right by the station if we needed to get into Inverness. The accommodation was beautifully presented and decorated with everything very clean. Towels provided as well as all cleaning materials etc and basics for the kitchen. There was also breakfast items available for the first morning which was an unexpected surprise.

Cozy little green home

I really liked the atmosphere in general, really homey and cozy. The lodge offered everything, from sanitary and beauty to food ect. They had a variety of movies to watch and in general really nice to live in

The sink of the bathroom was really uncomfortable cuz hot and cold was divided and you couldn’t really fit two hands or your face without making a mess on the ground

Great place to stay

Lovely clean tidy house very well equiped with many personal touches. On arrival their was a good supply of breakfast foods and plenty soaps and bathroom products. The beds were very comfortable and plenty room for clothes and luggage.

Comfortable, clean and central to the area.

The location was ideal for our needs. Not having to worry about meeting the host to collect the key took the worries out of the journey.The essentials, such as tea, coffee and the breakfast items were a great touch and very welcoming after the travel up from Surrey. Close to the town and with a supermarket nearby with affordable fuel prices I would recommend this to anyone.
