Bear Tracks Inn

Bear Tracks is an adorable motel with themed rooms and a restaurant with delicious food (we ate dinner and breakfast there [not included in motel fees]). The beds came with 4 pillows - 2 firm, 2 soft, so you can take your pick (I like this as some motels only has soft flat pillows and I like a firm one). The rooms were otherwise clean, comfortable and cozy. the shower had good pressure (you'd be surprised how many motels don't), and the staff was friendly and helpful. We did enjoy our stay very much, and I highly recommend the fettuchini alfredo if you partake of the restaurant. For those going to Tobermory, it's about a 30-35 minute drive to the end of Hwy 6.

We only had three suggestions/comments about the room: a) the beds are very high. i traveled with my 74 year old mother and it was a bit of a strain on her to get in and out of the bed easily. Older travelers may want to ask if the beds are different in the other rooms. b) there was no chairs in side the room. A full blown dresser was in there that could be removed and a small table/chair set added possibly. Eating outside (we did takeaway because we also traveled with a dog) was very cold that night despite being summer. For elderly travelers, my mother had difficulty doing some tasks like putting her shoes on because of no where to sit except the high bed. c) a lack of outdoor trash cans. we left dog bags outside the room because there were no outdoor trash cans.

We enjoyed the location just outside of Lion’s Head. We stayed for four nights. Within 30 minutes to many sights we were going to see but out of the hustle and bustle of Tobermoray. Our room was freshly renovated and clean. We enjoyed the option of outdoor seating area for our morning and afternoon coffee! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in restaurant and bakery were delicious. Best butter tarts ever!

Staff was very helpful and the restaurant had very good food.

Hair dryer didn’t work, no phone, no Kleenex in the room. No comfortable chair to sit on.
