Location (close enough to walk to everything), cleanliness, breakfast (variety and delicious), friendliness of owners, free parking.

No small fridge in the room.

We had a wonderful stay at Lionheart Guest House. Doug was an incredibly generous and accommodating host who took the time to share his knowledge of the area. His recommendations led us to some amazing places that were off the beaten path and far from the typical tourist stops, making our visit truly unique. The accommodations were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The peaceful setting made it easy to relax, and the spectacular grounds reflected the love and care that have gone into creating this charming, quaint B&B. What a beautiful region—un vrai cachet! The Bruce Peninsula has so much natural beauty, and Doug’s local insights allowed us to experience it in a way we never would have on our own. Thank you, Doug, from the Bruce Peninsula! We truly enjoyed our conversations and were so glad to have met you. Your warmth and hospitality made our stay unforgettable. Comfy room in a nice house on a large plot.

Lions Head is a very small & quiet place, with only a couple of dining options. Nothing after 9pm that we found. Communication with the host was poor/slow, and the only reason we were able to enter our room at all (one hour after arrival and because the code provided to us didn’t work as it should’ve) was because another guest managed to contact the host via phone on our behalf. Also our toilet flush didn’t work; I messaged but nothing happened. I left some chocolate milk in the fridge, and it was removed within 18 hours; presumably by either a thief or an over-exuberant cleaner. The room had a fan only, and in July-2023 the nights were very warm (interestingly, the upper landing outside our room had chilly but noisy aircon).
