About this house rental
In the original, upper valley of the Valle Gran Rey, in the district of "La Vizcaina", lies the Casa Fran, a Canarian stone house that has been carefully modernized and equipped with Indian and Oriental furniture and accessories, supplemented by houseplants.
It is ideal for hiking holidays, families with children and people who prefer an individually furnished house with character to a star hotel. and offers enough space on 80 sqm + 80 sqm roof terrace + natural terrace
It has 2 bedrooms, a living / dining room, a kitchen and a toilet on the ground floor, as well as a shower toilet, a second small outdoor kitchen with washing machine and sink (this outdoor kitchen only serves as a utility room) + an approx. 90 sqm roof terrace with wonderful View of the mountains. In addition, a natural terrace with a small patio borders directly on the house.
The upper floor can only be reached via an outside staircase.
The equipment of the rooms in detail:
Bedroom 1: double bed, 160x200 (premium mattress), solid wood furniture from Bali and India, wardrobe, sideboard, in earthy red tones, library with a lot of interesting reading material.
Bedroom 2: 2 single beds, 90x200, for couples also to push a bed together. Modern wooden bed frames incl. Desserts, Gomera Antik wooden wardrobe, writing / drawing table, TV (German channels only).
Living / dining room: hand-made couch made of morocco, rustic dining table, various accessories, TV and cable TV (German programs only).
Kitchen: Functional and simply equipped, with a large gas stove incl. Oven, large refrigerator with freezer, all pots and other cooking utensils. Hot water for washing up over boilers.
WC: sink, toilet, mirror, nice accessories.
Shower toilet: Please read carefully here !!
Rustic showering pleasure :)
The shower toilet is on the upper floor and can only be reached via the external staircase. H. you walk before and after showering about 6 meters through the outside area (hardly visible). If the shower door remains open, you can look into the mountains while showering :)
The whole thing is not problematic at all, but I would like to mention it explicitly because it is already a peculiarity of the house.
The shower-bath is in a simple condition. We deliberately left it there to have a little original Gomera feeling. It is functional and functional, with a hot shower and toilet if desired. Bad fetishists will not get their money's worth - please be aware of this.
It has a shower (no shower tray - the whole room is a large shower with a drain in the floor) sink, mirror, toilet, nice accessories.
Outside kitchen: washing machine
The outdoor kitchen is excluded from house cleaning and must be cleaned and cleaned yourself after use.
The adjoining natural terrace is accessible by stairs, not electrically lit, and not really designed either).

Tastes are different, please be aware of that.
If there are things that are very important to you, please ask a lot of questions before you book, so misunderstandings can be avoided.
The public paths in the village of La Vizcaina are sometimes poorly lit. Pack a flashlight or use a flashlight app on your smartphone.

Die FeWo ist gut gelegen im oberen Teil vom Valle Gran Rey. Guter Ausgangspunkt zum Strand und für Wanderungen. Die FeWo ist individuell eingerichtet, wir haben uns dort wohl gefühlt.

We really enjoyed our stay at Frank’s house. Very comfortable and well organised. The roof terrace has fantastic views. Everything was as described, communication with the owner was very good and we appreciated his helpful suggestions.

Es ist alles wie beschrieben.
Wir haben erst im Oktober gebucht und da war weit und breit alles andere ausgebucht, insofern waren wir sehr dankbar überhaupt noch etwas in Valle Gran Rey gefunden zu haben.
Aufgrund der Lage haben wir ein Auto dazu gemietet, damit waren wir flexibel. Es gehen aber auch einige schöne Wanderungen am Haus vorbei.
Die super Matratze im großen Schlafzimmer sowie die tollen Bettdecken waren unser persönliches Highlight. Die Einrichtung ist auch hübsch. Es ist alles da was man braucht.
Für uns Frostbeulen war Dezember/Januar leider etwas die falsche Jahreszeit für La Vizcaina. Im Haus mit den dicken Wänden war es sehr frisch und die 3 kleinen Ölradiatoren hatten da wenig Chance wirklich etwas dran zu ändern. Auf dieser Talseite kommt die Sonne erst gegen 12 Uhr und um 17 Uhr ist wieder Schatten.
Die Dachterrasse ist ein schöner Ort zum Relaxen, könnte mehr als eine Sonnenliege vertragen. Wir bekamen dort häufiger Besuch von irgendwelchen Hunden aus der Nachbarschaft.
Der Preis ist sehr fair und dem Zustand des Objekts angemessen und die Kommunikation mit Frank war problemlos und immer zeitnah.
