The villa is an old 19th century residential house recently restored, belongs to the larger residence. In a quiet position, in the middle of a large park with centuries old trees. From the house you can see the observation tower to the Montalbano hills with olive groves and vineyards and to the stronghold towers of Serravalle. The swimming pool is 150 m away, open from 10.00-19.00 hours. Villa "Nicoletta", detached, renovated in 2005. 7 km from the centre of Montecatini Terme, 35 km from the centre of Lucca, 44 km from the centre of Firenze, located by a road. Private: garden 5'500 m2 (fenced), swimming pool (12 x 6 m, depth 90 - 140 cm, seasonal availability: 17.May. - 27.Sep.). Outdoor shower, garden furniture, barbecue. In the house: central heating system, heating to be paid on the spot, heating available only from 01.Nov. - 07.Apr.. Room cleaning weekly (included). House maid daily on request (extra). Cook on request (extra). Motor access to the house (100 m via unmade road). Parking on the premises. We stayed at Villa Il Salicone as a group of 9 adults and 4 children, and it was absolutely perfect for our family gathering.The villa itself is a beautiful historic building dating back to 1817, sympathetically restored to a very high standard while still maintaining all of its original charm and character. The interiors strike a lovely balance between classic Tuscan features and modern comfort.The bedrooms were extremely spacious, and with all but one having their own ensuite bathroom, it worked brilliantly for a large group. The kitchen was impressively well-equipped and made cooking for 13 people surprisingly easy, with plenty of space for several of us to be preparing food at once.The owners were incredibly friendly and communication was excellent both before and during our stay. They also produce their own olive oil and wine, which were absolutely delicious — we loved that these were available to purchase. One of the highlights of our trip was arranging a traditional Tuscan meal, cooked right in the villa by the hosts. It was not only authentic and beautifully prepared but also one of the best meals we had in Tuscany — highly recommended!Outside, the villa’s setting is just as impressive as the inside. It’s peaceful, surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, yet still conveniently located for exploring nearby towns and vineyards.Overall, Villa Il Salicone exceeded our expectations — it’s a rare find that combines history, comfort, warm hospitality, and practicalit

Beautiful Home, Stunning Views, and Great Location

We loved our stay at Vila, Il Salicone! The home was stunning, beautifully and comfortably furnished with plenty of room for all 12 of us. (The house actually sleeps 14, and 2 more people would have not been a problem). The owner, Nicoletta, was very gracious and helpful. She showed us around the property, gave us recommendations for day trips, and even provided us with a jar of her excellent honey which we thoroughly enjoyed! The views from our home were breathtaking, with rolling hills filled with vineyards and olive groves. And one of our favorite activities, was to enjoy breakfast in the manicured gardens, with the sun shining, birds singing, and stunning views as far as the eye could see. I had been a bit concerned about the location, since we were north of Florence and many of Tuscany's attractions seemed to be South of Florence, but in truth the location turned out to be great. It was an easy trip into Florence, Pisa, and Lucca. And the drives to Siena and San Gimignano were not too bad at all. In fact, we even managed to take a drive out to the coast to spend a day in Cinque Terre! Pistoia and Montecatini Terme were charming nearby locations which felt unspoiled and not too touristy at all. In all, I would absolutely recommend this Villa to anyone wanting to spend time in Tuscany!

Riesiges 200jähriges Haus, antike Möbel, hohe Räume, Garten mit vielen Bäumen und Schatten. Schöner Pool ca. 150 m den Hang hoch. Gute Aussicht. Obwohl ohne Klimaanlage, kann man die Raumtemperaturen durch Fensterläden angenehm halten. Alles sauber angetroffen, bis auf die Küchenausstattung, welche wohl je nach Vormieter plusminus gereinigt hinterlassen wird. Gut eingerichtete Küche. Toll: Mineralwasser, Wein, Olivenöl durch Besitzerin bereitgestellt zu fairen Preisen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Villa ist wunderschön gelegen, mit riesigem Garten und in einer sehr ruhigen Umgebung. Der Pool liegt auf einer kleinen Erhöhung etwas abseits von Haus und von dort hat man einen sehr schönen Ausblick auf die Umgebung. Das Haus hat eine große Küche, die mit allem Notwendigem ( Pfannen, Teller, Gläser, Töpe, Öl, Salz, Spülmaschine, Gasherd,…)ausgestattet ist. Das Haus ist größer, als es auf den Fotos aussieht und alle Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet. Nicoletta ist sehr freundlich und entspannt, sie kann sehr gut deutsch und ist immer erreichbar, falls es Probleme geben sollte. Gerade auch für Gruppen eine perfekte Unterkunft. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Ein fantastisches Haus

Das Haus liegt wunderschön inmitten von Olivenhainen und Rebbergen und ist einfach nur als fantastisch zu bezeichnen. Unsere Gruppe hat schon oft grosse Interhome Häuser gebucht und Haus Nicoletta ist einstimmig auf Platz 2 gelandet. Platz 1 bleibt natürlich unser Geheimnis -)). Die Betreuung vor Ort durch die Besitzerin war sehr freundliche, unkompliziert und liebenswert. Wir kommen wieder, XXX !!
