Luxury apartment with private pool in Sala Comacina for 2-4 people

Very pleased. Fantastic views of the lake. Parking. Spacious and modern. We had a great week and enjoyed staying!

Probably one of the best holidays we've ever had, from the welcome and support before we arrived, to the beautiful location, the views and the ease of getting there. From the moment we made the booking, Katrin confirmed the booking and the owner, Julia was in touch forwarding ideas of things to do and letting us know what to expect. Beautiful drive up Lake Como from Como station where we hired our car. Free parking in the reserved bay opposite is a delight. The apartment is across the road and up stairs, a climb of some 50m - not an easy walk with cases but pace yourself. The apartment is reached by a lift or if you're feeling energetic, a further flight of stairs. But the climb is so worth it. We were met at the apartment by Eleonora for a bit of show and tell. Inside the apartment, clean, well laid out with a double bedroom on the entrance floor and the master bedroom a flight below. The sunny lounge has a spectacular view to the Lake accessed by a balcony. Frankly we could have spent the 10 days just sitting watching and taking it all in. My daughter referred to it like being at the cinema watching a 3D movie. The main road round Lake Como is 50m below the apartment and you have to cross to get to the stairs and it can get busy but you soon get used to the noise. Lovely restaurants in Tremezzo, Argegno and Menaggio and loved the Greenway walk round to Villa Balbianello. The main roads through the towns though are tight, not for the faint hearted but all part of the Italian experience. We just drove to all the restaurants and places of interest. We loved the boat rental, so good we did it twice. And then the Balcone d'Italia - again, so good we did it twice. Don't miss it, we reckoned it was as good as the Grand Canyon for sheer spectacular. We spent four days in Venice, train through to Como, car hired and then dropped off at Milan Malpensa. The apartment is an hour from the airport, half an hour from Como and a two and a half hour flight from Edinburgh. Italy is so accessible, friendly folk and great hospitality. To coin a phrase - "We'll be back".

We have had a fantastic week at this very beautiful apartment. Before our holiday, Julia sent us an excellent email how to find the address. Arriving there, Julia welcomed us warmly and explained everything about the apartment also local information including nice restaurants, supermarkets and Lidos. The apartment is modern & had everything we needed: great kitchen, iron, ironing board, clothes drying rack, washing machine, drier etc. We really loved the spacious bedrooms (with aircon) and ample wardrobe space. The compact pool is an added bonus to cool off after a day out or just to laze on the sun beds. The uninterrupted view over Lago di Como is amazing from the balcony. We could enjoy it from the minute you arrived by lift in the entry, lounge/dining/kitchen, the balcony & bedrooms and the garden. Sometimes it was really hard to turn away and stop enjoying the view. We made big long cocktails every evening to sit and celebrate such a beautiful view! There is some road noise but it did not bother us at all. It was fantastic to have a designated free parking space (very important!) right in front of the apartment. Parking around Lake Como seems tricky to start with but we found plenty well signposted carparks in all the towns so it did not stop us taking the car out whenever we wanted to go anywhere, anytime. From the apartment we could also walk 5 mins to an amazing but very local and simple restaurant in Colonno along a footpath. We could also take the peaceful 'Greenway Trail' down to Sala Comacina (a lot of stairs!) to access the town and boats to the Isola/Ossuccio. We have had a wonderful week. Grazie mille Julia!

Soggiorno fantastico, vacanza trascorsa bene in compagnia di tutta la famiglia. Abbiamo trascorso una settimana di vero relax e divertimento.

Heerlijke ontspannen vakantie gehad in het prachtige appartement van Julia die ons gastvrij ontving. Mooi uitzicht op het meer en vlakbij een aantal schilderachtige dorpjes zoals Argegno en Tremezzo. We hebben gefietst, gewandeld, gevaren en gezwommen. Genoeg ingrediënten voor een actieve vakantie dus. Ik kan het van harte aanbevelen!

Die Wohnung bietet viel Platz für vier Personen. Alles in gutem/ sehr gutem Zustand. Der Pool ist zwar klein, aber zum Abkühlen ideal. Die Kücheneinrichtung (Geschirr, Töpfe, Kaffeemaschine) könnte allerdings etwas besser ausgestattet sein. Aber alles in allem ist die Wohnung sehr zu empfehlen.
