About this house rental
The beautiful house Antonella in Bassano has been built in 1995 and located on the hillside amid a private garden and has a panoramic view over Lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountains.
About a garden staircase leads through a veranda, guests will find a lot of space for their sports equipment and Seeutensilien in. Or might also want their dogs have a "private room"?
From the veranda comes one enters a spacious living room me a couch and TV.
The well equipped kitchen has a dining table with 4 chairs, a 5-burner gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle and coffeemaker.
Also on this floor is a large bathroom with tub and bidet.
About a stone staircase leads to the upper floor with an open roof and wooden beams. There is one bedroom with double bed and exit on the balcony with Traumausblick; another bedroom with thermoformed roof and skylights. There are two single beds which can be pushed over one another.
There is also a bathroom with bidet and shower.
On the south and west side of the house is a furnished terrace draws where they can also smoke - in the house, it is not desirable. In the garden there is a BBQ.
In front of the house, on the street, a dead end leading to the old church of Bassano, there is enough space to park the car (also two).
The neighborhood:
Bassano, a district of Tronzano, is a small mountain village at the end of a dead end, with few inhabitants. There is only a small restaurant in the center of the village. It's best to bring your supplies for the first days. You will find a small but nice grocery store as you drive through Tronzano, about 4 km from your destination.
Supermarket, pharmacy and bank are in Maccagno, about 10 km away.
There are beautiful beaches in Zenna, just behind the Swiss border, there is also a pizzeria and in Tronzano at the Sufschule, where there is another restaurant.

Only perfect!! The house is located 300m above the lake and offers a fantastic panoramic view on the lake and the mountains behind. Sunny terrace with comfortable chairs. Well equipped. Nice barbecue. Also perfect for our little dog. Little shop about 1,5km downhill walk (a bit steep). Driving uphill is on a typical Italian narrow street. We used our BMW X5 - and also with this German „Dickschiff“ no problem. All friendly drivers! Nice beaches (don’t forget to bring shoes) and great pizza in the area. Ascona and Cannobio (use the boat!) highly recommended. We will come back!! Thank you!!

Fantastischer Ausblick auf den See.

We had a lovely holiday! Lots of stuff to do, see, explore. The house is big, lots of space and a great vieuw on the lake. But not very cosy. Owners are very friendly and helpfull.

Das Haus liegt ruhig in einer kleinen Siedlung hoch über dem See.
Die Straße dorthin ist zwar oft steil und schmal, jedoch ist der Straßenbelag gut und für gewöhnliche PKW leicht befahrbar.
Einkaufen sollte man besser im relativ nahe gelegenen LUINO (ca. 14km entfernt; 30 min. Fahrzeit).
Die Aussicht vom Erdgeschoss hinaus auf den See und die Berge ist beeindruckend. Ein wenig stört den Blick lediglich die Straßenlaterne genau vor dem Grundstück.
Für Kinder, Ältere oder gehbehinderte Menschen ist das Haus aufgrund der steilen Treppen zum Eingang eher nicht geeignet.
Das Haus selbst ist in schlichter Weise eingerichtet. Wer es nicht überladen mag, wird sich hier wohlfühlen.
Vor uns gab es Kritik anderer Gäste wegen der niedrigen Raumhöhe im Obergeschoss: Kinderzimmer und oberes Bad haben durch die Dachschräge tatsächlich niedrige Deckenhöhen. Es gibt im Erdgeschoss jedoch ein weiteres Bad.
Manches im und am Haus könnte sicher etwas besser gelöst werden:
- So ist die Beleuchtung in allen Zimmern eher ungemütlich gestaltet, was an langen hellen Sommerabenden aber nicht stören wird.
- Ewas merkwürdig wirkt das Doppelbett mit zu kleinen Matratzen und einer großzügigen Umrandung. Schlafen konnte man dort aber auch mit fast 190 cm trotzdem gut.
- Im Eingangsbereich wäre eine Garderobe sicherlich sehr nützlich.
- Das Sofa im Wohnbereich sollte besser gegen ein neues getauscht werden. Es ist alt und sehr durchgesessen.
- Etwas verärgert waren wir, dass online mit der Abbildung einer Badewanne geworben wurde (Stand: Mai '19). Diese Badewanne wurde allerdings gegen eine Dusche getauscht. Hier sollten die Bilder aktualisiert werden.
- Es war schwierig, das Haus bei kühlem Wetter sinnvoll zu heizen, da es nur einen zentralen Regler im Wohnzimmer für die Fußbodenheizung in allen Räumen gibt. Manche Räume wurden zu warm, andere blieben kühl (z.B. Wohnzimmer).
Die Vermieter waren nett, sprachen aber leider nur Italienisch, sodass die Kommunikation etwas beschränkt bleiben musste.
Obwohl es einige Schwierigkeiten gab, haben wir den Aufenthalt genossen.
Eventuell kommen wir in Zukunft wieder, falls bis dahin ein paar Verbesserungen am Haus gemacht werden.
