About this house rental

The house offers on 106 m2 a large living-dining area on 2 levels with open, well-equipped kitchen and balcony as well as a panoramic window with spectacular view to the valley of the small Kyll.

Two bedrooms with double beds and attached bathrooms and an additional living room on the ground floor with terrace offer sophisticated comfort.

Children can set up a separate play area in the gallery, alternatively the room can be used as a small working or reading room.

The 4000 m2 fruit orchard is natural and provides a smooth transition to forest and meadows.

Architecture:
The inner topography of the house develops from the position on a southern slope: all rooms are separated by slight level offsets, from the entrance one arrives in a spiral upward movement around the central chimney one after the other into the living room, the dining area with kitchen, one bedroom and finally to the gallery, from which the view falls back into the high living space. Downstairs you reach in the opposite direction the second bedroom and the garden room with a further valley side exterior access.

Between the seven levels and the inclined roof, a charming spatial modulation of constrictions and widenings, intimate and wide-open spaces emerges. Each area of the Raumbereich thus develops its very specific atmosphere, but the views of the surrounding areas still allow the flow of the three-dimensional enfilade to be felt. Large windows overlook the uninhabited valley and the opposite wooded hills.

If peace and quiet is what you seek in a 5 star accommodation then this place is for you. Mr. Hermann spared no expense in providing 5 star accommodation and equipment. I enjoyed every moment in the house. For my taste, Schultz is the perfect village; 150 souls and no traffic. This won't be my last visit to this holiday home.

We are experienced travellers and we have been renting several holiday houses for quite some years now. Rarely however you come across with a gem you immediately fall in love with. Das Vulkanhaus is such a house. Everything is perfect: the view, the environment, the architecture, the furniture, the kitchen, the bed and bath rooms, the kitchen equipment ... all of it. We will definitely come back and recommend the house to all travellers who want to pay a fair price for a gorgeous house. Top alert!

Das kompakte und geschmackvolle Haus ist für zwei Personen überaus geräumig und bietet drinnen und draußen Platz zum Sitzen und Liegen. Wir haben uns im Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Draußen auf Balkon und Terrasse mussten wir tagsüber Abstriche machen, da auf dem Grundstück Bauarbeiten stattfanden. Der Vermieter hatte sich im Vorfeld mit uns in Verbindung gesetzt und ein Entgegenkommen bei der Miete angeboten. Das fanden wir fair und sind mit einem guten Gefühl hingefahren. In der Wochenendstraße sind weitere Ferienhäuschen, aber keines überzeugt von der Architektur her wie dieses. Die großen Fenster, die hellen Räume, die optimale Nutzung der Hanglage und die Holzbauweise haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Aufenthalt in der Vulkaneifel wir uns in schöner Erinnerung bleiben und wer weiß, ob wir nicht wiederkommen. Denn für Rennrad- und Mountainbiketouren ist die Gegend perfekt. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Auch die Motorradfahrer schätzen die hügeligen und kurvenreichen Straßen. Am Wochenende knattern sie sogar durch das kleine, ansonsten sehr verschlafene Örtchen Schutz.

Wir haben mit einem befreundeten Ehepaar vier Tage in diesem wunderschönen Haus gewohnt. Das Wetter war schön, so dass wir viel in der herrlichen Umgebung gewandert sind und mit den Rädern unterwegs waren. Bei schlechtem Wetter hätten wir gerne auch tagsüber noch mehr Zeit mit Lesen, Nichtstun oder Musikhören an einem der herrlich großen Fenster mit Aussicht auf die große Wiese und das grüne Tal verbracht. Glücklicherweise gibt es keine Gardinen, die den Blick stören und auch kaum Staubfänger oder sonstigen Zierrat, der ablenken und das Erlebnis beeinträchtigen könnte. Die Möbel, die Böden und sogar die CD- und Büchersammlung haben unseren Geschmack voll und ganz getroffen. Alles ist auf das Wesentliche reduziert, gleichzeitig aber durchdacht und stimmig. Für vier Personen ist das Haus wirklich sehr geräumig und wir konnten es gar nicht richtig ausfüllen. Wir haben jedenfalls nichts vermisst und kommen gerne wieder!

wir haben es sehr genossen, auf dem schönen balkon bei sonnenschein in den bequemen liegestühlen mit einem tollen blick in die vulkaneifel bei einem guten buch zu entspannen. leider waren uns die matratzen zu hart. aber da hat ja jeder andere bedürfnisse.

Perfect 'feel good' house with a stunning view

The Vulkaneifelhaus and its setting couldn’t be better to us . We are experienced in renting holiday places but, this one : we loved everything about it : the architecture, the inside atmosphere, the fact that it is so well equipped and on top of it all the breathtaking view . We stayed for 5 days in February and enjoyed the sun and the snow, made beautiful walks and spent hours in front of the fire, enjoying the magical view and listening good music (thanks to the owner for sharing his fine CD-collection ). Vulkaneifel is a wonderful tranquil region and Vulkaneifelhaus the perfect place to enjoy it !
