We had an amazing stay in Sarnen! The home is wonderful, spacious, and has the amenities - an amazing kid game room, ping pong, pool, foosball, well appointed kitchen, shaded places on the patio to enjoy the amazing views - just great! We would come back in a heartbeat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The views were amazing and the home had everything you could want. The kids disappeared at hours at a time as they had so many options. The specialty cook table was a hit also.

Great location, awesome amenities, great house!

We were organising a work retreat, for an intensive brainstorming meeting for 5 of us, to develop a new product. We saw the listing online, and thought it would be great as each person could have their own private room, and there was lots of light and beautiful views to inspire us. What we got - was so much more wonderful than the listing says! First, Wilen is a gorgeous and quiet location, nestled in the valley of the mountains, just above the lake, so amazing views all around, and the house is perfectly situated to enjoy the views. Next, the house is so well equipped, it literally has EVERYTHING that we could want to make our meeting a success. There were several work locations - dining table, living room for video calls, outdoor table for a bit more free thinking space, an office space - so we could move around for different parts of the day. The wifi was without any issues, and we could do video calls regularly with no problems. The kitchen and dining experience was perfect - the kitchen, while not huge, has everything you could want, including an induction wok! We made most of our meals in the house, and it did not disappoint! There is every sort of crockery and cutlery you could ever wish for, and the crowning glory - is the massive raclette table which was an unforgettable experience. In terms of comfort, the beds were all fantastic, and the team all said they slept so much better than usual - which was important given we were working intensively all day. You can do some lovely walks from the house, including down to the lake, and the terrace is great for meditation and yoga! Additionally, we went into Sarnen for shopping (loads of supermarkets to choose from) and then a walk and drink one evening, and the town is very pretty. We didn't explore the area further as we were intensively working - but it looks like there are loads of great places to visit very close to the house. All of the communications were easy and fast, and the check in with the housekeeper super smooth - she even stayed late as our flights were delayed and was very pleasant. Everything was sparkling clean and tidy and it felt super luxury yet very accommodating and comfortable. Overall - I HIGHLY recommend the villa for a visit, we would definitely return for a work or social trip, and there honestly isn't a thing I would say I would change or improve. I would suggest a car if you go, as it's far to walk to the centre for groceries. THANK YOU for an amazing place!

Immaculate property with great facilities and an amazing view.

With 3 generations, this spacious and extremely well equiped house gave everything we could have hoped for and more. We the grandparents, had a quite corner to sleep and sit. The children had all the fun a house can provide, games and playground. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The lake was at walking distance and in the seroundings there is so much to do, that it would take at least a few more summers to explore. We strongly recommand this beautiful exceptional place; Bijou sur Lac in Wilen.

It was a wonderful relaxing stay with our extended family. The view was amazing and there are so many great things to do in the area. Loved hearing the cow bells from the farm next door! The entire family loved the property!

We’ve just returned to Singapore from a 18 days Europe holiday. I would highly recommend this house to stay in Switzerland especially if you are travelling with children. My family of 10 adults + 4 kids + 2 babies stayed in this house for 6days. There are 7 bedrooms just nice to fit all of us with our own privacy. Our children had so much fun at basement of the house where you find a playground. Whenever we can’t find our children, we surely know that they are having fun in the playground. There is also an entertainment room with pool table, dart board & a Soccer game, good for adults in the evening. We had a BBQ dinner on Christmas Eve in the patio. Six bedrooms, multiple living areas, indoor playground, pool room, office - there is nothing lacking in this residence. Every detail is looked after and all items you need are at hand. Best home away from home we have ever had!

Our generational family of 15 stayed in this house for 5 days in June. All I can say is that we were totally unprepared for the stunning setting on the lake! This house itself is beautiful and was exactly as shown in the pictures and perfect for our age group of 13-77 years old. The teens had their space and adults did too. We used the patio for evening cocktails and s'mores by the fire. The kitchen is unbelievably well equipped. We went to Migros every afternoon and made dinner for 15 which helped offset the high cost of Switzerland! We rented cars but used the train for day trips. I would highly recommend this house in Sarnen. You will not be disappointed!

Bijou sur Lac provided our extended family with the most wonderful holiday stay we could wish for in Switzerland. Travelling as a group of 12 people (including 4 young children), we were looking for a place to start our holiday that was central to exploring Switzerland as well as providing facilities for relaxing at the house as required. This site exceeded all expectations, with a fantastic play room for the kids, an adult games room and expansive eating and living rooms (with exceptional views from all). The house provided all of the services we required (cooking, washing, drying, music, BBQ etc) given the size of our group. The house has well maintained gardens and facilities generally and the bedrooms are spacious, beautifully presented and well equiped. Bathroom facilities are well distributed to cater for large groups. Apart from being central to many locations by bus/train or car, it also provided easy walking to local facilities and recreational activities around the lake. The Local Manager was professional and helpful on greeting, throughout the week and at departure - she made sure that we were going to have a great week. Having just returned to Australia from our three week family get together, our children and grandchildren are still talking about Bijour sur Lac as the highlight of their tour. Thank you Gabriele and Andreas for creating such a wonderful experience for travellers from the other side of the globe.

The house is lovely, has an amazing view of Lake Sarnen and was equipped with ample amenities--a fire pit for cool evenings on the terrace, a charcoal barbecue pit, ample dining seating indoors and out, a well-equipped kitchen, games and books, pool and foosball, trampoline, bicycles, musical instruments and more. It accommodated our 3 generation family of 12 easily. All of our family members would highly recommend the home to others. The wi-fi did not seem able to accommodate everyone's devices simultaneously which, happily, gave everyone vacation time from their on-line worlds.

This house was amazing. The Sarnen area was gorgeous! The kids playroom was awesome, the house had everything you would need! What a great experience! Thank you so much to the owners and caretakers. Everything was perfect!!! Can't wait to come back.

Your gorgeous home met all of our expectations, and more! Before we left for Switzerland, we had specific sightseeing plans for everyday that we were in Sarnen. Once we arrived and sat out on your deck, overlooking Lake Sarnen and the snow capped mountains, we forgot our previous plans and spent most of our time at your home! The living accommodations were fabulous - each bedroom had an been updated bathroom; the kitchen and eating areas were perfect; we Loved the living room and deck views! Your hostess, Nikolina was most helpful! A must for all of your guests would be a day trip to Murren!! Just Gorgeous!It would be helpful to know in advance that all markets and most restaurants are closed on Sundays. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was Heaven in Switzerland!
