Ocean View Casa De Emdeko

Casa De Emdeko is a great complex. We really enjoyed the central pools, beach and BBQ areas. Grounds were meticulously maintained. This unit was perfect for us and a bargain for the price. Kitchen has everything you need. Big bathroom and king size bed. We found it very quiet and met several neighbors in the pool late afternoon. They also have a sunset conch blowing every night.

The condo had everything we needed including beach chairs and an ice chest. Residence and guest were all lovely and the ocean side saltwater pool was very nice when it was open. We had big waves during our stay, so it was closed. We will definitely be back. We prefer a quiet small complex compared to other big ones. I will say 10am check out is WAY too early. Considering check in is 4pm. We were also expected to wash, dry and fold our bedding before checking out. If you expect guest to do all that you should allow a later check out. Our flight was at 10am so we did not have the time to wash, dry and fold our bedding before leaving at 7:30 am. We did notify them that we left it in the dryer. Mahalo Nui Loa for a lovely stay.

This place had it all. Pool by the ocean, private places to lounge and even a liquor store at the street. The room had everything too. Coolers beach chairs (the good ones) and the kitchen was well equipped. The lanai had a sofa and a place it eat. The pictures should be updated because this place is way nicer in person.

We rented this condo almost a year before arriving.We turned on the A/C to cool things down a little. After while it became too cool but the A/C did not shut down by itself so we had to manually turn the unit off.Only 2 trash bags for a months stay and no laundry soap starter. In the kitchen we flipped the light switch but the kitchen light would not go on, a bad receptacle/switch. We informed the owner about the A/C unit not working properly, she commented that she knew about the problem, but it was too old to be fixed. She said she would send someone over to fix the faulty electrical switch in the kitchen, no one came over to fix the faulty electrical circuitWe informed the owner that we will just have to live with the broken A/C thermostat, during sleeping hours but we had to get up and adjust the temperature to be comfortable, a pain. Not fixing the possible faulty electrical switch is a red flag.The condo itself is ok, the highlight is the balcony, sunsets can be viewed while having dinner or a drink. The bathroom is nice; the kitchen is functional. It was quiet at night despite being so close to Alii Drive, a plus.Checkout instructions need change. The bedding, etc. had to washed and folded before the 10am departure, not sure what the maid has to do.We are disappointed that the owner knew the A/C thermostat was faulty, but it was not included in the listing.Things need to be fixed properly (a/c. light switch) before staying here.
