About this apartment rental
Peaceful log cabin apartment on 8 acre property. Beautiful gardens, fall foliage, and steps away from Atkins Reservoir and Robert Frost Trails. Great area for hiking and biking! 5 minutes from Amherst College and UMass. Close to Hampshire College, Smith College, and Mount Holyoke as well.
Our listing is Northeast of the campuses, which is awesome for high traffic travel times. Most people visiting these campuses are coming from the other directions.
Even though we are within 5 minutes of the Colleges and Amherst Center, we are nestled on the North side of Mount Boreas, kitty-corner to the Atkins Reservoir, and steps away from Robert Frost Trails. You will find yourself surrounded by quiet wilderness and only a short drive to everything else you need.
You have private access to the pool house/cozy cabin which includes entryway, main living area, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. In addition, you may use the deck around the apartment. Please enjoy the patio furniture we have provided. You will also have shared access to the pool area during the day (Last week of May through First Week of September). For safety reasons, we ask that you do not swim after dark. We may need to open the pool late or close early due to weather, schedules, etc.
The guest door is located halfway around the right side of the home (in a little alcove). This is your private entrance. You will be provided a keyless entry code before you arrive. This gives you the freedom to check in anytime between 3p and 12a and check out anytime before noon.
The bathroom has a walk-in 1 person shower stall. There is no bathtub available.
Some cell phone carriers have limited service at our listing. We have provided a landline that is available for unlimited calling in the US and Canada. You are more than welcome to share the landline number with those that you need to keep in contact with. Please just share your check out dates with them, so they do not call future guests :).
We also provide free WIFI, so you can connect your mobile devices for access to internet-based communication applications.
Free Parking in the driveway for up to two cars. Public transit is available with the nearest bus stop just over 1 mile from our location through the PVTA bus line.

The property was lovely. The host was friendly and helpful. I loved the sweet little touches. There were donuts and orange juice. The host provided coffee and everything to brew it. The pool was lovely after a hot day spent outside. Very clean. I’d definitely go back.

Our BFF girls’ getaway at Betsy’s Sun Filled Cozy Cabin was absolutely fabulous!!!We came out from the South Shore for a show at the TreeHouse in Deerfield. From the moment we pulled into the tree lined driveway and saw the log cabin home tucked back into the expansive beautifully manicured landscape, we knew this was the perfect choice for our stay! When we opened the door to the cabin house, we were immediately struck with its stunning interior! The listing description is spot on! There were nothing but pleasant, thoughtful surprises. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea, sugar and a great selection of spices. The drawers were filled with all you needed for cooking and storing food. When I opened the fridge, we were amazed to find 1 full carafe of fresh OJ and 1 carafe filled with fresh milk, as well as a couple of bottles of water and full bottles of ketchup and mustard. The furnishings thought were immaculate and tasteful. The pullout sofa was high quality and the mattress very comfy to sleep on. The queen bed in the bedroom was super comfy! From the living room, the double sliders opened up to a nice big deck equipped with a lovely dining set with umbrella. Perfect for eating outside. The deck overlooks a sparkling and inviting in ground pool which we had unlimited access to. One of Betsy’s hobbies is gardening, and the back yard is as beautifully maintained as as the front. What a relaxing stay we had. Thank you so much, Betsy. You are one in a million! 3

This is a perfect quiet space close to so many things to see and do in the Amherst area. Betsy is a great host and the property is perfect for a quiet stay. We very much enjoyed our visit and look forward to a future stay.

The house was as clean as a whistle and oh so very cozy with a beautiful view, it’s was very easy to find even for someone as bad at directions as me, the host was very kind, warm, welcoming, and respectful to me and my partner, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Overall was a fantastic rental we enjoyed ver much.
