About this apartment rental

Wonderful central location in Belleville Valley. Ski in/out from ski locker room. Just 2 lifts to top of mountain & ski down to Meribel, Val Thorens or Les Menuires.

Direct access onto square, with ski rental, gift shop, butchers, cinema, take away, bakers, tourist & ski pass offices, bars and mountain view restaurants, supermarket, leisure centre, all within a 5 minute walk.

The apartment has 3 bedrooms + single bed in nook, 2 modern bathrooms (1 walk-in shower and 1 shower-bath). All open plan downstairs with a light bright but cosy feel.

The Apartment: Unusual to have such a lovely split level flat which can comfortably cater for 6-7 adults.

Kitchen is compact but larger than most in comparable apartments. A dishwasher, full size oven and microwave were a must! Under counter fridge-freezers.

The dining area can seat up to 8 with an extendable table. Sofa in the living area with large glass balcony doors making it bright and warm on a sunny day.

The views from the balcony are fantastic over La Masse, Lac du Lou and up to Val Thorens. Seating up to two, the balcony captures the sun wonderfully in the day if you need to relax and rest from skiing over a vin chaud! Care should obviously be taken with any young children on the balcony due to height of apartment.

The two bathrooms are a bonus. One has a walk in shower, the other upstairs has a shower-bath which has been newly renovated.

Upstairs there is: (i) a large master bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, (ii) a further double bedroom also with wardrobe and chest of drawers, (iii) a smaller bedroom which snuggly just fits 2 single beds (one pulls out or keep as more spacious single room), and (iv) a single bed in a nook (please note that this is open outside 2 of the bedrooms).

Amenities: As set out in amenities section, subject to following. Linens and towels can be provided (or else you can bring your own or hire) but there is an additional cleaning fee if you would like us to provide them - further details available upon request.

The Location: Les Bruyeres is smaller and more charming than neighbouring Les Menuires and is just down the road from Val Thorens.

Lovely views and good ski lift access. Extensive skiing is great with 3 Valley pass you can go to St Martin, Val Thorens, Meribel/Mottaret and Courchavel all within a day if you are an experienced skier. Also Belleville valley or just Les Menuires area passes are available for those with less experience.

The leisure centre is great and good for children too. Small amusement rides on the square as well. They often put on displays like fireworks, torch lit descent or performers in Les Bruyeres or down in Les Menuires. See the schedule from the tourist office.

Many restaurants, bars and a night club within easy reach and importantly easy to find the way home from!

The cinema shows films in English on certain days only so check out the schedule on arrival.

Lovely apartment with a homely feel. Enough space for 7 of us and the 2 bathrooms always make it easier. The location is perfect, out of the boot room and onto a small blue / green that takes you down to 3 lifts. The apartment entrance leads directly to the Bruyeres square so eating out and shopping was effortless. Great comms from the host. We will return if it's available.

Most sleeping is upstairs which has a very low ceiling throughout - about 180cm. Top bunk not suitable for adult as only about 60cm clearance to ceiling. Twin room is the size of two beds butted side by side with little to no floor space. We had a party of 7 adults with one sleeping on the fold out couch downstairs, one in the bunk and one in the twin which is really only suited to a single person or a couple and a couple in each double room. It was very tight but perfect for what we needed. One of our party didn’t come which have made it 8 people and would have been too many for the space. Great time had.

Our party of 5 adults + 1 x 14yr old + 1 x 6 yr old stayed for a weeks skiing in April. The location is superb, with the ski locker opening directly onto a blue/green that is a 1 minute ski to the Reberty/ Dolan/ Mas1 lifts. The Bruyere shopping area is also 30 seconds from the front door, and the ESF meeting point 1 minute away. The process of picking up the keys from the Agent was painless and easy. The apartment itself is homely (something we always prefer over the soulless Pierre and Vacance type properties), clean and well equipped. If I say that the Hob, Oven, Fridge and Dishwasher worked as expected it may sound like I’m damning with faint praise ... I’m not! In 10 years of Easter skiing this is a first where the complete set has worked perfectly, first time. The mattresses were all uniformly excellent so a good nights sleep for everybody. The downstairs shower was a highlight. The apartment fitted in the 7 of us, with space to sit comfortably around the dinner table every night. The kitchen had more than enough equipment to cook full Mexican from fresh. Downsides? The apartment has limited floor space so in the evening it’s 3 on the sofa and the rest on the dining chairs. Upstairs the ceiling is 5ft 11ish and I’m 6ft ... so I scraped my head several times on the textured ceiling. Duck! (Minus 1 star). The bedrooms are in very close proximity to each other, are compact and only 1 has an exterior window, but they are there for sleeping only! Finally the communications from the owner were warm, concise and fast, sometimes with a reply in minutes. The information pack was excellent. We were pleased with the accommodation and would be happy to use it again.
