About this country house rental
At the heart of Black Perigord, close to Lascaux, in a small village crisscrossed by pedestrian paths, our property consists of 6 lodgings charms of 2 to 8 people (maximum capacity of 23 people).
The Oven, the Sheepfold and the Fournil are located in a beautiful stone and half-timbered house, divided into 3 apartments.
The oven occupies the lower right of this beautiful country house.
Completely renovated, it is a little cocoon, ideal for a couple looking for romance. It has a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a bathroom newly redone and a beautiful room full of charm with as headboard the vault of our old bread oven!
A big advantage in summer thanks to its walls of very thick stones (more than a meter wide), it retains a pleasant freshness making it easier to withstand the heat (natural clim ...)!
The oven has a private exterior with garden furniture, deckchairs, parasol and barbecue. Our guests enjoy relaxing on the deck chairs of its terrace both shaded and sunny, facing south!
You have access to the heated pool between 26 ° C and 29 ° C (mid April to early October, depending on the weather) and the landscaped park.
Ideally located to discover the Dordogne, all the main sites are a few minutes from our cottages (valley Vézère and Dordogne, Lascaux IV caves just minutes, Montignac, Sarlat ...).

Small comfortable apartment. Ideal for a weeks break, beautiful setting, well equipped in centre of tiny French village. Close to lots of stunning locations and places to visit. Refreshing pool and spa ideal after a hot day sight seeing. Lots of outdoor games great for kids. Host very welcoming.

Maison typique périgourdine, bien équipée, bien située, les propriétaires sont très accueillants, quelques réfections de traces d.humidité à prévoir , le sur matelas nuit au confort du lit sinon le reste impeccable

Nous avons passé une semaine dans le gite la Bergerie. Voici nos impressions :
Les plus : VALOJOULX est un bourg très calme. Pour le repos c'est très bien. Belle piscine chauffée.
Les moins : le gite est très humide. Adossé à une colline et jouxtant un bois, l'humidité est nettement perceptible. La nuit les draps sont moites ce qui n'est pas du tout agréable. La vaisselle est de "bric et de broc". Totalement dépareillée et vieillotte. Ne cherchez pas le grille pain il n'y en a pas...Ils ont été retirés des gites car les vacanciers ne les nettoyaient pas et faisaient disjoncter à cause d'une mauvaise utilisation. Du passage entre le gite et la terrasse car les occupants du dessus sont obligés de passer devant nous pour regagner leur gite.
En résumé des vacances sympas car la région est belle, mais nous ne relouerons pas ce gite.
