Lovely Riad, probably my favourite on my trip so far. The family that run it are lovely and happy to help. They also shared a bit of history about the place which I enjoyed learning about.Clean, great location and good value for money.
Personal preference. The bed was a little firm for my liking.

This is a lovely home Riad, with a lovely family running it. It is quite simple but everything you need. Delicious breakfasts, everyone helpful, and great to just sit and chat about the history of Meknes. Samad, our host, is a great champion of Meknes and has great recommendations for tours, the souks - anything you might want to do. A home from home

Very cosy Riad filled with knick knacks collected over the years by the owners who were extremely accommodating. Comfortable & warm rooms with good breakfast (eggs, yoghurt, cheese, smoothie, excellent coffee & the usual bread & condiments). Terrific value for money. We got very lost trying to find the mausoleum from the Riad (8 mins walk turned into nearly 40 mins meandering around the alleys) & when we decided to return to the Riad, the host got his staff to accompany us to direct us in the right direction.
The only gripe was the 2 tiny bottles of shower gel/shampoo which we used up in the evening, so had to use hand wash to shower with in the morning. Apart from that, nothing negative to say about the Riad.

On arrival we were met by Abdu who advised that we could park the motorbike just in front of the house which seemed a safe place. They have CCTV on that area. The house is full of Moroccan character. We were the only guests during our stay so the house was very quiet which added to the relaxed atmosphere. The room was small but cosy enough. Comfortable beds. Later we met the owner Ghislaine and confirmed the organized tour for the following day that had been arranged by her husband. In the morning we enjoyed breakfast in the sunroof terrace which consists of barley grits soup (Hssoua Belboula), cake slices, moroccan breads, marmalade and cheese wedges with, in our case, coffee with milk. They stored our bags for a few hours whilst doing the tour which we really appreciated.
The tour was not organized with an official guide and still they charged us the official rate which is 30EUR. As the guide was obviously scared of coming across police officers he couldn't take us to the most important sites such us the mausoleum. When asked he said it was closed and opens at 3pm. I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry for the audacity of Moroccans and the way they conduct themselves and conduct business.
