Mas in Bonnieux

In the heart of Provence, within walking distance of Bonnieux (Vaucluse department), we are renting out an extremely charmingly furnished 3-room apartment for 2 to 4 people in our renovated farmhouse, which is over 100 years old. The apartment features a living and dining area with a wood-burning stove and a small open kitchen equipped with all modern conveniences (dishwasher, etc.), 2 bedrooms (1 queen-size bed 160x200, 2 single beds), and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. You can reach the entrance to the apartment via a private outdoor staircase. The small terrace in front offers a magnificent panoramic view of Bonnieux, the Luberon with its famous cedar forest, and the typical Provençal villages of Lacoste, Goult, Gordes, and Roussillon, stretching all the way to Mont Ventoux. The apartment’s garden seating area, shaded by an old cherry tree, invites you to enjoy the delicacies from the markets during a “déjeuner sur l’herbe”; afterward, the comfortable lounge chairs promise the relaxation you need. In the summer, cool off in the spacious swimming pool (4x11m). It serves as a secluded retreat adjacent to the garden, nestled among vineyards and olive trees.

Avignon, Arles, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, and other destinations are all within a little over an hour’s drive. The apartment is an excellent starting point for those interested in art history. Hikers will also find romantic trails in the Luberon, and cyclists will be challenged by demanding mountain passes. There are beautiful golf courses in Saumane-de-Vaucluse and Les Baux. Bonnieux itself has two tennis courts. Last but not least, this area is well worth a visit for foodies!
