About this cabin rental

The "Folk Cabin" is a secluded 2 Bedroom Modern Cabin with 2 Full Bathrooms located just beyond the Ozark Folk Center. Peaceful wooded setting located at the end of the road yet literally a couple of minutes from downtown. Location, Location, Location! Lost of wildlife in the area and we most always see deer from the front porch swing. The Rock fireplace (electric) in the living room sets the mood for your getaway in the mountains and puts off lots of heat with the heat feature turned on. The living room features an electric recliner as well as a reclining loveseat and sofa with recliners (talk about comfort). The master features a king bed and full bathroom and the second bedroom contains both a queen and full bed. The second full bath is located in the hall. There is a fire area outside with chairs to relax and wood for roasting marshmallows and smores. WIFI and cable TV are also provided as well as a fully stocked kitchen. Full size washer and dryer as well. We've also added a custom firepit with a swinging "cowboy cooker" grill grate for cooking!!!!

Easy booking and check in. The cabin is clean, spacious and comfortable. It is off the beaten path and the setting in the woods was quiet and easy to find. You do have to drive on a gravel lane for a short distance to get to the cabin and the lane is a little rough so your car will get dusty. For us, this was not a big drawback and the benefits greatly outweighed the small inconvenience. We truly enjoyed the attractions in the area and will certainly consider staying here again should we return in the future.

We were in town to attend a class at the Ozark Folk Center. There were 4 adults that stayed at the cabin. We all enjoyed our stay. The cabin is awesome. It looked great in the pictures, but is even nicer in person. It is located on a beautiful piece of property that is close to town. Joey is very easy to work with. We would definitely stay there again.

We’ve visited Mountain View many times. This is the nicest, quietest cabin we’ve stayed in to date. It should be noted that the last little bit of the road is dirt and very bumpy. However, it is accessible for most cars. And for us, the peacefulness was worth it.

The most relaxing place we have ever stayed. The cabin, in the perfect location, didn’t lack any comforts or needs. In fact we gave up a day of sightseeing just to hang out around the fireplace and catch up on some visiting. The front porch swing was a favorite place for afternoon coffee. Clean with everything needed. We loved gathering around the firepit at night, with wood easily available. Three minutes from the Ozark Folk Center made it the ideal location to get away but have convenience to the festival we attended. We all agreed we wanted to come back and stay here again!

There was only one wooden chair in poor condition at the fire pit and in the pics there was chairs around the fire pit so we didn’t even use the fire pit. We decided not to cook meals we brought since the kitchen pots/pans and utensils were in poor condition.

We had a great time on our weekend getaway to Mtn. View. The cabin was just perfect, and very conveniently located near the Ozark Folk Center. The weather was VERY hot, so we didn’t get to enjoy the front porch or the outdoor fire pit - - but we hope to come back when the weather is cooler to remedy that situation. We can highly recommend this cabin!

Stayed for a week and the Cabin was amazing. Plenty of room. Very comfortable and solid A/C. Fire Pit was awesome but it was too warm to use it every night. Right down the road from the Folk Center and Mountain View. You'll miss out if you don't book this Cabin!

It was what we needed . We got to see the deer grazing and a Small Turtle. There was a small bird that was making a nest in a little house on the pouch. I loved the feeling of being in the woods !! The cabin was just the right size! We loved the fireplace too .
