Hike one of our trails and explore the miles of shoreline Barren River Lake has to offer. Launch the 2 person canoe and explore the lake and shore line for hours alone or with a friend. Life jackets from infant to XXL are on site and plentiful. For some real solitude take the Stand Up Paddle Board out and explore, fish, meditate or practice yoga.

Toast marshmallows or s’mores in the fire pit, or swing in the breeze from the 2 person hammock. Practice your marksmanship with the BB gun and targets on site.

Area Attractions: Mammoth Cave National Park is less than 30 minutes door - door. Many restaurants and retailers are available within 10 minutes drive in Glasgow, KY. Barren River State Resort park and marina is an easy 7 mile drive. Bowling Green is 40 minutes away and is home to hundreds of restaurants, bars, shops, National Corvette Museum, Bowling Green Motorsports Park and Olde Stone golf course. Horseback riding and golf at the Barren River State Park are a big hit. Finally, one of our favorites between Memorial Day and Labor is lake church, a waterfront gathering of Christians enjoying fellowship and God's creation.

Recreation: This home was built for making a lifetime of memories for our family and yours. Our 4 acre property offers plenty of room to explore, relax, and get away from everything. A gentle stream feeds a cove that borders our property which then feeds into the main channel of the lake. A canoe and Stand Up Paddleboards are available for your use.

If you'd like to bring your own vessel the Beaver Creek Boat Ramp only 2 miles away for launch. Target shooting is a family favorite and there is ample open space for football, baseball, and outdoor games of all kinds. Covered porches afford you the opportunity to be outside regardless of the weather with gorgeous views. HD Network TV is the perfect centerpiece for sports gatherings including NFL playoffs, NCAA Final Four, Master's Weekend, etc.

Twice annually the ultimate HighDef experience is the migration of millions of sandhill cranes just overhead southbound late fall, and northbound in early spring.

Other: This is a US Army Corp of Engineer managed lake. The levels vary significantly throughout the year. The lake is brought up to 'summer pool' each year in mid April. The levels start to drop in late October. You can see actual levels and 'target' levels online. Please inquire for the URL.
