What a beautiful gem in the middle of nowhere!

If you are looking for the most tranquil accommodition in this beautiful area - this is the place for you. Unfortunately we only booked it the day before as an overnight stay for our roadtrip from Spain back to Austria. If we had known before how incredible Bastide de Verez is we would have stayed much longer (and we will as soon as possible). Incredibly beautiful area in the absolute middle of nowhere (ATTENTION: a car is needed as you can only reach the premises via a 3km drive over dirt roads through the fields and there's literally nothing else nearby). The apartment we had was spotlessly clean and very (!) comfortable. We had a private bathroom with shower, the best beds ever - and there's free parking literally 10 seconds away from the doorstep. Impeccable staff as well - so friendly, even to us "overnighters" who booked a rather cheap night in this luxury retreat. The breakfast needs an extra mention as it's just "WOW" in capital letters: everything fresh and over-complete, incredibly tasty (even in France's terms, a whole nation that lives by perfect food, this was a true surprise), you'll enjoy it in the most beautiful spacious dining room overlooking the nice pool area (which we couldn't use due to weather). There's a community "living room" as well for all guests to use (interior reminded me of old French movies from the Sixties - someone took a really long thought when doing this). But best of all: Being welcomed by Lily, the owners little dog, who might be the cutest creature to have ever walked on our earth. Just a minute after our arrival she presented me some kind of rubber frisbee disc and ordered me to play with her, leaving me absolutely no other option than to stick to her rules 😉

Great place that can keep you on the premises instead of doing the road trip you had planned!

The place was great. But people make the difference. Marion was an excellent hostess. She made us feel as guests in “her” house.

I honestly can’t think of something …. apart from the weather! Maybe just a small remark: It wasn’t a problem for us (as the guests of the floor above us were very discreet) but maybe you should let people know when booking that the bathroom of the rooms on the 1st floor (car park side) have the bathroom in a common area (staircase to just one more family room on the 2nd floor).

Absolutely wonderful.

We were the only guests. The breakfast was very tasty. The Chateau is truly immaculate and extremely tastefully and classically modernised. Perfect!

We could not pay with our credit card. Cash only.

Typisch französisches Frühstück, wenig Herzhaftes. Die Zimmer könnten hochwertiger eingerichtet sein. Bad sehr klein und nicht modernisiert.
