Ocean View Paradise!

This was probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed!. The host lives on site like many of the Hawaiian Short-term rentals. However, he is very low key and you don't know he is there. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well furnished. Great Ice machine.

We were looking for a place specifically in Ocean View so this was perfect for us. We also liked that it was halfway between the places we wanted to go. However, Ocean View is on the South of the Island so can be a bit of a drive to some areas. You will want to look at travel times to your intended destination to avoid any surprises. For us, the extra drive to stay out of the typical resort area was worth it.

Troy was very accessible, personable and helpful. His home has everything we needed in addition to a hot tub. It’s immaculate and comfortable. The location is a great alternative to staying in either Hilo or Kona. Getting a ride to the Green beach was an experience all by itself. We highly recommend it.

Troy was lovely and and hospitable. He was kind and checked in on us to see if we needed supplies. he offered information on the sites and activities we wanted to do and provided us with great recommendations for local food

It is worth noting these rooms are built inside the garage. It gets very hot and we were unable to have windows open due to either bugs or strong winds damaging the blinds. There is no air con, just fans so it a bit stuffy. The shower is an outhouse so being bitten by mosquitos while showering in the evening was not great. The property is in a very remote area so I would suggest researching what activities you want to do and plan the stay according as we realised we were driving in excess of 3-4hrs a day to reach most of the popular activities and sites on the island
