We absolutely loved our stay! The location is perfect, and the sea view is just breathtaking. Our room was big and cleaned every day, and the staff were so kind and welcoming — they really made us feel at home. Honestly, the only thing we regret is not staying longer. Can't wait to come back, highly recommend!

A wonderful stay great location

The view is spectacular. I loved that it’s located at the quieter end of the beach with some lovely restaurants. Elsa was amazing, available for anything needed especially to pick up if we didn’t feel like walking up the hill.

It was a truly beautiful stay. It would have been nice if there was a light breakfast so you could sit outside and enjoy the view in the morning sunshine.

A very special view

Very special view! Quiet room away from the main action of the town. Clean, safe and cool during the heat wave. The beach was a short walk down the hill, the property is at the far southern end of Himare where the public beach area is, and unusual for the coast this was less populated than other public beaches in Budva, etc. Plenty of private sunloungers a bit further up at a fairly reasonable cost of 10-15 euros per day. Friendly host with some good recommendations for eating out. Good restaurants and fun bar atmosphere too in the town.

Bear in mind that there is a walk up the hill to the property - OK if you have a vehicle - but a little challenge after dinner and drinks. The view in the morning made this worth it though!

The position is perfect for me a little way from the busyness. The view is incredible, Elsa is extremely helpful and friendly, all staff are. There is a hill to walk which I loved, if you are driving this is not a consideration.

Wonderful

Location was great, parking available at property. Yes there’s a steep hill but very accessible to drive up and down and also with good footwear absolutely fine to walk. The family were wonderful and so accommodating for anything needed. It was lovely they provided fresh sheets and towels every day and cleaned the room. We had a wonderful 3 day stay with wonderful views of the town and ocean.

I agree that some bedside lamps would be ideal as the lighting was very bright in the evenings, and the heat pump takes a while to cool down the room

Lovely modern rooms. The view from the balcony alone is worth booking this place! :) walking distance to Himare beach and filikuri beach (note the walk down to filikuri beach is challenging definitely wear hiking shoes!) the host was very friendly and accommodating :)

Amazing!!!

We stayed at the Mesun Hotel for two days and had a truly wonderful experience. Elsa was by far the kindest and most helpful person we met during our time in Albania. She generously offered us a room upgrade, which we appreciated even more once we saw the stunning view from our new room. Elsa also gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and even helped us with our laundry — something we were very grateful for. Her hospitality made a big difference in our stay, and we can’t thank her enough. We highly recommend this hotel! On top of that, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the suite had a lovely, fresh scent throughout.

Excellent view and nice staff.

A bit above Himare which means there is a really nice view over the entire bay. Nights with open window the only thing you can hear are just the waves, it is very soothing. There was a mosquito net on the balcony door. The staff was really nice and spoke English well.

The bathroom has a wet shower. The furniture is not like in hotels but more like in apartments.

Beautiful views over the bay

Really great location especially if you want to easily access Filikuri beach. Also very close to the bay. The room was huge as was the balcony, amazing views over the bay! Elsa who runs it is very sweet and helpful, always replied at a seconds notice.

The location of the hotel is not as good as it is rated- it's approx 2km away from center, located at the hill which is a serious inconvenience and difficulty in the heat in Himare. Also you can't pay with card, which is inconvenience too.

Room with a fabulous view over Himare and a lovely host!

The hotel has amazing views over Himare and Potam Beach, breath-taking. Luckily it was sunny while we were there and it felt like summer though it was early May - birds singing, wild flowers in bloom, and lots of lush greenery. The host Elsa was lovely - charming, kind and helpful. She helped us with a taxi to leave at a fair price and provided information about where to eat, etc. The rooms were very clean, the shower was good, and the wifi was also fine. We had sea view rooms and the balconies overlooking the sea on the first floor were fantastic. It was very peaceful and relaxing. There was a fridge and kettle, comfortable beds and nicely furnished rooms. In summer / high season there would be a bar on the pretty terrace where one could have a drink / coffee etc.

Nothing wrong with the hotel itself, it was great - perhaps provide a curtain on the back of the door because the frosted glass panel in the door allowed too much of the night light in the corridor to shine through. (I had an eye mask so not a problem). The hotel best suits someone renting a car or fit enough to walk up and down the steep hill into Potam and/or Himare (it's nice walk through the trees and flowers).

I highly recommend this place

Hotel Mesun is a little uphill in a quiet surrounding located, still it is a short walk to Potami Beach. Rooms a spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable. Elsa and her husband are very welcoming and always available in case you need anything. The view is gorgeous. We will definitely visit again.

Basically the best hospitality and customer service I've had! The room service was excellent, super clean every day and the host took care of all our requests, we really appreciated the treatment. The hotel is located in a quiet place which is great if you need some rest from the city. Easy to access and it also has a dedicated parking spot for the guests. One of the strengths is the view of this place which is really breathtaking from sunrise to sunset!

Hotel with the most magnificent view in Himare

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the bay. Rooms was very clean with large balconies. Staff always friendly and helpful. Location with private access. Quiet place with the sound of the sea, away from the crowds of tourists. Just great!
