Near Fatima Sanctuary, Minde is the perfect location to explore the center of Portugal, Namely, the Natural Park of Serra de Aire and lamps.
Located in Minde, a very quiet village in the center of Portugal, this is the ideal place for you to establish your departure point to explore the center of Portugal. This is a typical village house in the center of Minde.
The house is located in the center of Minde, just some steps to restaurants, supermarket, shops.
Minde is located at 14 Km from Fatima (about 15mn by car). Fatima the most important sanctuary in Portugal and one of the best known sanctuaries in Europe.
Minde is very near to the source of the river Alviela (8km, about 10 min by car) where the very agreeable river beach Has Been built and where you can take a bath in the clear unpolluted water coming from the river source. (This is Also the place where the water supplies Lisbon That is collected).
From Minde you can Also visit Several caves Which are typical to this carst landscape que constitutes Serra de Aire and lamps. The caves are just 9 km distant from Minde (about 8 minutes by car).
Near Minde you may also discover the dinosaurs' footprints que in ancient times walked through this area.
From the river beach you have access to different footpaths, one of Them will take you to Fatima sanctuary, if you like to walk. This is a very used route for pilgrims que walk to Fatima.
From Minde you can Also take a tour to different touristic places located in the center of Portugal: Alcobaça, 37km; Santarém -45 km; Nazareth (the most typical fishing village in Portugal, with large and beautiful beaches, and to many other interesting places.
Minde is just one hour distant from Lisbon, by car.

Excellent stay. The host has a very interesting decoration, family style, the garden that makes up the leisure area is idyllic and makes us feel comfortable. The entire surrounding area is historic and playful. Due to its central location, getting to areas of interest is quick and easy.

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights at Joao’s place. The location was very good for us to visit the monasteries, Tomar and Fatima by car. There is a grocery store within walking distance and free street parking near the apartment was always available. Joao was a very attentive host. He met us for check in and explained the apartment. The neighborhood seemed very safe but there were so many barking dogs that we had trouble sleeping through the night. We never could get the WiFi to work consistently but we didn’t need it so I did not contact Joao about this. We also had difficulty maintaining the hot water consistency for a shower. There is a nice private outdoor seating area with barbecue.
