About this apartment rental
Beautiful West Village One bedroom / 1 bath Apt available for short term / long term lease fully furnished in a landmark building. Very clean apt, nicely decorated with beautiful furnishings, queen size bed, fresh sheets and towels provided. Full kitchen with everything, Full size windowed bathroom and Living room, equipped w/ wireless internet, stereo, flat screen TV, cable, AC unit and good closet space. Has no phone and no microwave. If you are looking at the picture from living room towards bedroom, you will see on the right side of the bedroom entrance a wood piece with an art piece above it. The is also a folding table. It has two leaves that lift up separately. One side gives you a table for two or three people. Open full size fits up to six. And then I have folding chairs in closet. You can easily open half the table and leave it open during your entire stay and still comfortable to move around. Just only need your suitcase. This is much more reasonable & comfortable than any hotel in New York! Apartment is within walking distance of Soho, East Village, Nolita, Chelsea, Union Square, NYU and ALL of the subway lines. Very save block, next to police station. Great restaurants, parks, galleries, trendy bars, boutiques and shopping close by. We require a $1000 refundable security deposit. We only accept cash, cashier’s check or PayPal payment. NO smoking, NO pets, NO large gathering. We also request that shoes not be worn in carpeted area of apartment....to keep carpet and apartment clean. There is a $85 payment for cleaning required. For monthly stays two are required. We have a cleaning service that comes once a week. It is $85 per visit. They clean apartment and do laundry of towels and linens. Guest pays these directly to cleaning person. Please note that we can only meet you during the day time from 9am - 7pm. Key lock can be arranged other times. A key lock can be left for after hour guests arrivals.

I spent a wonderful four months at Ruperto's apartment. I was very happy there. It is a true one bedroom, nicely laid out, with an extremely well stocked kitchen, a lovely living room and a sunny, comfy bedroom. The shower has great pressure and plenty of hot water. The decor is tasteful, lively and charming. It's a nice, quiet building, and as a woman living there alone, I always felt very safe (and by the way, it is literally next to the police station). The neighborhood is my hands-down favorite in the city-- the best part of the Village. You actually never need to leave the neighborhood--the restaurants, the shops, the music, even the downtown theater scene--it's all there. The place is a short walk from the Hudson River and a beautiful park. But you're also very convenient to major subway lines, so most of the city is accessible in about 15 minutes. Ruperto is a great guy--very responsive, responsible and easy going. I will stay there again any time I can.

I visit the city on average once or twice a year for the past 10 years and always use short term rentals such as VRBO or Home Away for periods of a month or more and have found Ruperto's apartment the best so far. The photo's, description and previous reviews are all accurate and exceeded my expectations including the size which at 500+sf was surprisingly large. The location is probably in one of the best in the city as the west village is! the street is actually surprisingly really quite during the night while during the day you have that sublime Manhattan ambient sound Very NY!. We loved staying in this apartment as you experience how the locals live in this great city and you appreciate why New Yorkers love their city. It really is the only way to stay in a big city like NY. Thank you Ruperto for letting us stay in your apartment and hope to come back real soon!.

What a fabulous apartment located on the first floor, immaculate inside, comfy bed , hot shower and well appointed lounge. The location is amazing we love good restaurants and Jazz music, you won't find better at least 20 options just a short walk away. The Village at it's best. We will be back!

The appt is in a quiet street but still in the heart of the village. Good places to eat,drink and listen to music. The area feels totaly safe and the appt is secure. Ruperto responded to our messages promptly met us on arrival and allowed us to leave our bags in the appt until late on the afternoon of our departure. The appt itself is comfortable, clean great hot shower and comfy bed all you need for a week in NYC
