This property could be great. It has a lovely outside space with a great (but small) pool. Unfortunately, previous reviews misled us to believe that the property had excellent amenities, but certainly this year we feel it didn’t. The kitchen is tired, for example one of the kitchen drawers was hanging off. Cutlery and plates were old and insufficient to fill the dishwasher - barely enough for a family of four. Only three drinking glasses, no dinner sized plates and most importantly, no corkscrew!! Only hand-towels, no soap and if you expect a Welcome Pack, you’ll be disappointed as there was nothing! The bedrooms are nice as was the bed linen, the downstairs double had a lovely ensuite, but no toilet! The two toilets had no hand basins which we found odd and somewhat unhygienic. The stated aircon is in the dining area only, wasn’t great and there were no fans - we roasted in August! As mentioned previously, the outside area was lovely and we enjoyed dinners outside, watching the geckos on the lights. The BBQ was great too. But cushions on the outside had mildew on them and a sun-lounger was already broken before we arrived and not replaced. The general level of cleaning was poor, food stains on the hob and the extractor fan was filthy. The area is lovely and the view of the mountains from the garden is stunning, excellent if you enjoy trail walking or visiting vineyards. So in summary, a really nice house but lacked care. The owner was on holiday and it felt a little bit like any contact was inconveniencing him.

Property was clean and spacious. Pictures accurately reflected the house. Location was further out from the small town than my family wanted.

We stayed here this summer with two young children (5 and 7). The photos on the website do not do this place justice - it is beautiful! The main open plan lounge area is really bright and opens out onto the large patio and pool! We were welcomed by Christophe (who lives next door but doesn't bother you during your stay ) who showed us around and explained details on the pool and gave information about the local area. The children loved the pool -be warned though that it is unheated but in the hot 32 degree heat it was a welcome relief! Puyloubier is a 20 minute walk away and is a stunning village with a boulangerie, small supermarket and post office. There is a regular bus which takes you to Aix en Provence which we took to save the hassle of driving and parking. The views of the mountain are stunning! Although there are houses either side, it was so peaceful. We had a great time here and will definitely look at booking here again. Thank you Christophe! I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to have the typical 'provencal' French holiday. We only wish we could have stayed longer!!
