Air-Conditioned Villa with Private Pool and Gardens Solely for the use of Guests of Aisling Villa

Set in a rural village location, this spacious villa was just right for us. The furnishings and equipment are not new but they all work and are not shabby. We felt at home and spent most of our two weeks in and around the villa. Richard, the owners agent, introduced himself and he was really helpful and friendly.. We would be happy to stay here again.

Aisling Villa was just as advertised, Carol was very helpful before arrival and Richard gave us a warm welcome. The villa is kept spotless as well as the pool and outside areas. We would recommend a stay here, it was difficult to drag ourselves away.

We really enjoyed our time at Aisling Villa. The house is very comfortable and the private garden and pool are delightful. The "welcome" wine and food was very generous and much appreciated. Proximity to Romeo & Juliet Fusion was a real plus: we had several dinners there. The location in central Crete is convenient for exploring the entire island. We would certainly recommed Aisling Villa for others planning to holiday in Crete. In terms of minor improvements: 1. The dishwasher did not clean things especially well. Its dish trays are rusting, and one suspects its days are numbered. Washing dishes by hand is discouraged in the owner's notes, so guests must rely on the dishwasher. 2. Lack of hot water for morning showers was a disappointment - especially when we had 4 people in the villa. There is mention of a booster switch in the notes, but a little more explanation would be welcome, e.g. how long does the booster take to warm water for 4 showers? 3. We met Richard on the day we arrived, and he quickly replaced the non-functional toaster on our 2nd day. However, on our 8th day we tried to contact him (leaving both voice and text messages), but there was no response. We did eventually sort out the issues ourselves, but the lack of response over a 48 hour period was a bit disconcerting.
