Nestled on the serene shores of Basin Cove, Tidewatch is a charming 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage that perfectly captures the Maine coastal experience. While the back deck sits close enough to the water it invites you to come out and sip your morning coffee, enjoy an evening glass of wine, or dine al fresco at the outdoor table while taking in the scenic views.
Step inside to a spacious family room filled with natural light and stocked with board games for cozy afternoons. Just off the family room, you'll find a bedroom with two twin beds, ideal for children or extra guests. Continue into the galley-style kitchen, fully equipped to prepare fresh lobster and local seafood. The open dining and living area feature a cathedral ceiling, walls of windows and a sliding glass door, bringing the outdoors in and showcasing the sparkling waters of Basin Cove. A full bathroom with a stand-up shower and a queen bedroom completes the cottage.
While Basin Cove is tidal, high tide provides direct water access, perfect for swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding. Just down the road, enjoy local favorites like The Dolphin Marina & Restaurant, known for its famous haddock chowder, or Erica's Seafood. Spent 5 nights here while my house down the coast was being renovated. I have stayed at many rentals and this was undoubtedly the best. The galley kitchen is a bit tight but there is everything one could want or need. The bedrooms are neat, clean and comfortable. There is a family room as well as a large living room overlooking the Basin. We were especially fortunate that the tides were in our favor and we got plenty of time to enjoy the view. Shower is small but we had enough water at good pressure for daily showers.The house is equipped with a water cooler if well water isn't something you're used to. Don't expect treated public water in Harpswell or many other locations in Maine. Driveway accommodates 2 cars but is not overly wide and the proximity to the street demands caution when backing out. All in all Tidewatch is a comfortable, pleasant retreat with all the amenities one might need. I would recommend it to anyone!

We were at Tidewatch cottage for a long weekend from Quebec. Everything was exactly as described. Very clean and the ajustable bed mattress in the Master bedroom was a nice surprise! Thanks

Had difficulty with the front door locking.Was not happy that all the windows were unlocked.Small parking space should be noted on website.Found black mold on the shower curtain - purchased cleaner and took care of ourselves.

Not happy with the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils and appliances we had to clean most everything before we could use it coffee pot not washed it several times patio absolutely a disaster tarp laying on the floor Pineneedles so thick you couldn’t walk on the deck same with front steps very poor first impression inside of home nicely done . Only one bag for laundry not to as book indicated.Too much old leftovers in the refrigerator I did not come on vacation to clean up behind someone else
