Dimora "I Santi Patroni"

Location is great. Beautiful old building with interesting conversion for accommodation. Responded quickly to an internet issue.

We booked (in part) due to promised access to parking. Requested this well in advance and was promised details. Info shared on check in day was limited and suggested one public lot in high demand and another that was inaccessible. We had to find parking independently and eventually got a spot in a multi-story underground car park. Took up a lot of time.

Excellent location is an amazing historical building.

It was a bit cold but that was not the host's fault, early March stone buildings are cold. The air conditioning worked well for heating too. A small espresso machine would make the place PERFECT!

The owner sent us the necessary information to help us to check in ourselves. We found a parking space on the next street which is not far away from the apartment. The location of the flat is inside the old town, easy to get to the main touristic sites and restaurants. The shower is good, water flow is easy to adjust. There is a little refrigerator in the room.

We didn't have a real person to meet us so it was a confuse to find where exact the flat is. The glass stairs and the glass block of the upstairs floor are wield. The position of one twin bed upstairs is not very secured. There were no toiletries which is however mentioned in the provided list on the web booking site. The WiFi didn't work well. We had to switch to mobile date.

Ok, so there are 4 apartments in this location and I was staying in San Giusto. Location-wise the apartment is 10 mins on foot from the Duomo/old town. At the same time it's relatively close to some free parking spaces e.g. along Via Pozzuolo (on the other side of Viale dell'Universita basically). There was hair dryer, towels, electric kettle and mini fridge, 2 glasses and three mugs (plus some tea), as well as champagne glasses and a bucket for champagne. The bed was comfortable and really big. There is self check-in but there might be a BUT there (security issues).

Maybe I will sound really picky but I've been to a few places in different countries and in various levels of "fancy", and even though I wanted very much, I could not say I felt welcome in this one (and it completely does not depend on how fancy a place is or isn't but it does depend on the details). There are no jacket hangers close to the main door or in the bathroom for clothes/towels. Guests are threatened with police (that is in the guest guide on the table, all written in Italian but still, normal guests can read both the guide sent via booking.com and guest guide in the room and thus know that they should check out until a given hour). Also, a guy came in before the due hour reminding me that I should check out. After deadline it's fine but before - 5 minutes or 30 - it is simply rude. This is the first time I've experienced something like this. A few plates and at least teaspoons would be nice. Also, a dishcloth to dry the glasses & mugs would be useful. In the bathroom no child will not be able to reach toilet paper from the dispenser as it's too far away from the toilet seat. Using codes to self check-in raises some security concerns - if the codes remain the same all the time that is. There are literally no keys at all. The walls or the door to the apartment are very thin.
