About this cabin rental
Please note: Beginning in 2024, pets are not allowed by the Idlewilde Association. Please leave pets at home. This is NOT OUR decision.
The cabin is fully cleaned after each visit.
Located in Idlewilde Association on southern bay of Lake Osakis. Cabin #7 overlooking the lake (4 cabins in front, cabin #7 is the right most as you look at the lake.)
Due to changes optimal sleeping is 6 persons.
Newly remodeled and is open year round for fishing, hunting, and ice fishing, snowmobiling!
New windows and sliding glass door overlooking the lake! Central heat / air for your comfort! Free WiFi. Flat screen t.v. More upgrades coming!
150 ft fishing dock (28" walleye, 23" largemouth bass caught off the dock!)
Boat lift available ($100 fee / stay listed as "administration fee)
Open common ground includes fire pit, picnic table, grill.
Pool is permanently closed due to structural damage to building.
Bunkbeds are in! Bedrooms have queen size beds.
New recliners also can be used to sleep in / on.
I've installed an Amazon FireStick. Please do not order any pay per view shows. When using Netflix or other apps, sign on under "Julian" Firestick is voice activated also. Firestick remote fully runs the t.v. and the sound bar. The Samsung remote is if you get off the soundbar and can't get back, or if you bring a DVD player to use.
Password for internet: Located in cabin on the back of the router.

Well stocked beautiful cabin right on the water. Close to town, bars, restaurants and the public beach. Great fishing and wonderful hosts.

Cabin is clean and stocked with everything you may need. Owner is very helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable and trouble free. Osakis is a fun town with lots of places to grab a drink or meal. Fishing is fantastic too.

We truly enjoyed this cozy cabin. The cabin was very well stocked with paper goods and it had adequate bedding. We had a few very hot days so we appreciated the cold air conditioning. The wifi worked great. The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous. We rented jet skis from Alexandria Jet Ski and they were a blast. The lake is awesome and the views extraordinary. We enjoyed all the nice chairs, picnic tables, grill, and fire pit provided. We also rented the owner’s fishing boat and the neighbors pontoon. We highly recommend hiring Curtis, the professional fishing guide from the area, to help find the best fishing spots. We caught large walleye and northerns. On one of the rainy days, we drove into Alexandria and enjoyed the shopping and restaurants. Of course we tried the ice cream at Tip Top in Osakis too. We also used the laundromat just minutes from the cabin which was safe and clean. Julian, the property owner, was such a great communicator and truly went out of his way to ensure we had a nice time and everything we needed. We already booked our next stay and can’t wait to come back. Thank you!
