Our host Antoine was a nice man who gifted a couple of homemade items to greet us. His English is limited. I could not find the guesthouse from the VRBO description so I had to call him for directions. He was nice enough to drive to the Malendure beach and escort me.
The room and bed and bath are good but it retains heat even at night. There is no air conditioning and only one small fan. The mosquito netting around the bed does not keep all of them out.
The best part is morning views and the proximity to a cliff side Hocking trail. There is an easy access to this via the 3rd street light from this guest house (also marked by a white horizontal stripe on the nearby tree).
I would stay here again in winter when it’s cooler.
