Fully autonomous house with independent heating, double exposure and a splendid view over the roofs of the village of Castiglione d'Orcia, Pienza and the hills of the Val D'Orcia. 600 meters above sea level enjoys milder temperatures and cool winds in the evening. Quiet Unesco heritage village, with about 850 inhabitants; it has two bars, a museum, a playground, a Punto Sma minimarket, a grocery / bakery with typical and organic products, a Coop supermarket, a Pharmacy, two Banks, the Post Office and some useful shops. Also in the village there are a Vineria / appetizer (il RitroVino), a restaurant (il Cassero) and a restaurant / pizzeria (Le due Rocche). All services are easily reachable on foot in a few minutes.
The house is located 20 meters from the main street of the village in a Limited Traffic Zone, so even in a low traffic density area, the house is far from normal traffic roads.

Stayed here during the Tuscany Trail and was perfect for 4 of us. Centre of town and a great restaurant recommendation too!

This apartment is in a lovely medieval town. The apartment itself was very nice and well-equipped. There was plenty of room for the three of us. It can be a bit difficult to locate but Sergio and Mimosa were very helpful. Parking is offsite and a bit of a walk but you can unload your luggage nearer to the house. Highly recommend.

Overall was a very nice space; it was clean; kitchen and bathroom updated and well-appointed. Check-in was seamless (except for some difficulties finding the address). Sergio was prompt and responsive to questions/needs. The town was charming; hilltop location afforded fantastic views!
Some drawbacks: spotty WiFi, parking was a hike from the home. Overall, however, it was a pleasant stay.
