About this house rental
The property is a very spacious converted stone barn set in the grounds of a working sheep farm. The property gives easy access to beaches as well as the National Parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor. The beautiful River Taw is within 300 metres walking distance, across two fields.
There are 4 en-suite bedrooms upstairs and one small en-suite bedroom downstairs. The bedrooms have beds to sleep up to 16 guests. there are two sitting rooms, one with TV and a very large kitchen diner which has a table that will seat 16. High chairs, travel cot and bed guard is provided.
Outside is a patio area and an enclosed lawn. The outside space is enclosed and is secured by a gate. There is a covered area on the patio with a table and seating.
Attached to the house is a barn which houses a hot tub, a table tennis table, a pool table and darts board. The BBQ can be found in here as well.
Pet dogs very welcome (up to 4 free of charge)

We were a group of 9 adults and 6 children ranging from grandchildren to grandparents and everyone inbetween. The property was amazing, there were so many little extras to help with our stay, from soft teddies on the bed to ice packs to plastic cups - the attention to detail and thoughtful touches were great. The layout of the property was fantastic with a bedroom downstairs and ensuites. The kitchen/ dining area was great for meals. But the thing that really made our visit was the location, being so close to the river and other activities and the owner allowing us to use their equipment was an absolute hit with the kids (and adults)! This along with the games room meant the children were entertained for hours. We were impressed by the cleanliness. Yes its a creaky property with a few visits from spiders (and a bat) but that is to be expected with the property type. Our only comment would be to add some more hooks in the downstairs bedroom to hang things. We had a perfect stay and would love to return. A huge thank you! Highly recommend.

Stayed as a family of 10 and 2 dogs. This is the best house we have stayed in. It has everything you could need in the kitchen and the whole house is spacious and well equipped. The games room in the barn was fab with something for everyone. The hosts are lovely and very friendly. Would definitely recommend x

The location of the property is just of a narrow A road, so you cannot really walk anywhere as it’s a bit dangerous, but there is a river couple minutes walk away through the fields, with very brief walk along the river. The property could do with a bit of more cleaning, the beddings were fresh but apart from that there was dust in the drawers and the floor wasn’t clean on some places. There were A LOT of flies in the property when we arrived, the owner came couple of hours after we checked in and they brought us some sticky strips for the flies and we also used some fly killer spray to get rid of them (couldn’t get rid of them all), but this could have been done before we arrive at the property so we don’t have hundreds of flies to welcome us. We enjoyed the hot tub, table tennis and darts. One of the bathrooms didn’t had carpet in it just the under lay, it also had grippers with nails sticking out on the edges. Overall I’d say it’s a decent property but a little bit of more thought could make it better.
