Let your cares slip away as you gaze at the mountains and listen to the sound of a nearby waterfall. Our Falls Creek Retreat is located 8 minutes to Hunter and only 2 miles to both Tannersville and to NY State hiking trail heads.
This lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath house sleeps 8 people comfortably (max 6 adults/max 4 kids/max 8 people) (Queen, Queen, Twin/Twin Bunk + Twin/Full Bunk). Washer/Dryer in basement. The Cathedral ceiling in living room has exposed beams and a fireplace. Our recently renovated kitchen is well equipped to prepare and serve your meals. High speed internet and Sonos sound system. 40" HDTV with Roku in the living room. There is a large sun deck and a covered porch to relax on. There are board games for your entertainment as well as a level yard with a soccer goal and a badminton net you can set up. Enjoy the twilight hours on the stone patio while enjoying a fire in the outdoor fireplace and making dinner on the charcoal grill .
If you feel adventurous, venture down a short but steep natural path to play in the Schoharie Creek and take in the sound and sight of the gorgeous waterfall directly adjacent our property.
Whether you are looking for a mellow and restful relaxation or an adventurous outdoors getaway, the Falls Creek Retreat is a great mountain top destination for your stay.

** There is an extra guest charge for over 6 people
*** We do NOT accept groups (over 5 people) of adults that are peers. No exceptions. Too much damage has been caused in the past by adults looking to drink and party all week. If it's a multi-generational group we are open to more adults (e.g. parents with adult kids).

Beautiful property! We spent hours by the water playing with the dogs, as well as on the deck watching sunsets. The house is conveniently located just outside of Tannersville, where you can stock up on supplies or get some food to go. Plenty of trails to hike nearby, too.The home itself was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Bedding was nice and comfortable, and central air was lovely for hotter days.

We had a great month stay at this beautiful house. Kirsten and Leon are excellent hosts. Beds were comfortable and house had everything that we needed. Internet was great and we never lost a power when Debbie storm came through. Surprise bottle of wine met us when we arrived - Thank you Kirsten and Leon for your hospitality!

Great location short walk to waterfalls. Don't miss the giant turtle near waterfall. House very clean with everything you need. Outside fireplace was great for smores. Host was very attentive.

We stayed at this property in Nov of 2021. The place was clean and well appointed. Communication with the owners was clear and quick. Water pressure in the showers was great. Beds comfortable. it was a great place for our group size. Everything we could need was in the kitchen.
My only wish was for a real coffee table, would have loved to have a place to work on a jigsaw puzzle that wasn't the dinning room table. The property was a little close to the road and people drive fast on this road. But it has lovely views, nice side yard and it's great to hear the creek and waterfall from the house. Wish we went earlier in the year so we could have sat outside more.
Recommend this place.
