There is a lot of room to improve in terms of customer satisfaction.

The location

The fact that out 12 year old child had to sleep on a sofa which was short, not long enough to accomodate him. Even though we announced the staff, no solution (bigger mobile bed or any other solution) was found. Also it was annoying to hear every morning in the breakfast restaurant the staff cleaning, arranging the cuttlery just near our tables. They always had plates and cuttlery being brought to the tables in the noisiest way possible. Some more privacy and attention to the customers is required considering everyone longs for silence in their holidays. Cleaning and arranging could be done right after the customers leave the breakfast area or in a more quiet manner so that the customers does not hear a thing! This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel restaurant not a student cafeteria.

It felt a bit overpriced for the quality. Not sure the place is good enough to charge €56 for two small gin and tonics! Parking €40 per day etc. Not ludicrous, just on the wrong side of value. Breakfast buffet was ok but hot food was consistently cold! We were "upgraded" to a larger room on arrival - unfortunately this was opposite the lift and next to a staff room, so was noisy. Also, the shower drain was blocked and flooded the bathroom. We downgraded ourselves to the room we originally booked which was fine.

Spectacular

This was our second stay at the hotel, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The location is perfect, the rooms are comfortable, and everything was spotless. What truly stands out is the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly and always smiling, which made us feel so welcome. A special thank you to Nicolo for being so helpful and kind. We can’t wait to come back again!

Lovely place at Courmayeur

Staff were very helpful and friendly (handled any arrangements we needed). Room size was very comfortable and all areas of the hotel were clean. Breakfast arrangements were decent with variety of options and delicious. The hotel is also well situated (very close to the gondola station and withing short walking distance to the centre of the village). Another plus is the fact that ski lockers/room is on the slopes so no need to carry skis around or walk on ski boots.

Spa area could be a bit larger and accommodate guests for longer than 1hour if needed.

The restaurant is not great. Food is pretentious and overpriced. There are better alternatives in town, better food and cheaper. Some of them within 5 minutes walking distance.

High price for low value experience.

I booked as a family with two children, the second bed was not made up on our arrival, it lacked basic bed linen and did not have sufficient towels. The children were not permitted to use the pool and ordering food was clunky and staff were misinformed.

Nice, well situated hotel, but nothing more.

Well situated hotel with all comfort and good food and breakfast.

Airconditioning is absolutely missing !!! One should expect this as a minimum requiry for a 5-star hotel ?! In general, staff could be more helpful and frendly, except for Mr. Matteo Marcella at the restaurant, who really is a top person and houst. (I, or better they, left my slippers after changing rooms and they refuse to send it back to me ?!)

Might suit some but I will think twice before going again

Great location a few minutes walk to the main shopping centre and restaurants, lovely room with comfortable bed et al, good dinner and breakfast, didn’t use the bar but it looked great, staff well trained but see below …

My main beef is that reception just assumes you want things done without asking you. So I had taken the luggage I wanted out of my boot and was getting something from inside the car, then to find the bellboy had unloaded a whole load of other stuff from the boot without asking. So I then had to put it all back. At the end of a long day, the last thing I needed. On checking out, rather than ask if I would like my car brought round to reception, they just did it. I had not wanted my car brought round for a variety of reasons but they seemed incapable of understanding that they should ask before interfering with my possessions. So this has put me right off going there again unless it’s the only option In Courmayeur. The restaurant service might suit some but being asked if everything is OK multiple times a course and normally when I have my mouth full is also irritating.

Nice but not luxury

Location was great, just off the main street of Courmayeur. We were upgraded to a suite which was nice, with what I suppose is an additional sitting area. Breakfast was included and delicious.

For some reason we could hear the plumbing from our room, so when someone in another room, maybe upstairs or downstairs, was taking a shower, we could hear a loud persistent noise. Also the room we got assigned was directly above the outdoor jacuzzi so it tended to be noisy in the daytime if people talk loudly. Lastly the hotel for some reason tried to bill me for a meal/ drinks that we did not have at the hotel bar. After explaining that we were out the whole day, and never set foot in the bar, the receptionist accepted my explanation and did not charge us for it. However there should be more checks and controls by the bar staff to ensure that this does not happen again.

Exceptional Le Massif (Courmayeur)

Everything hotel, location, breakfast, room service all staff from garage service boy, girls attending rooms, personnel in restaurant for breakfast and dinner, concierge and Spa. Exceptional all of them.

The fact that we could not regulate the temperature in our room. And we did not have a make-up magnifying mirror in the bathroom.

Good location, good hotel, but overpriced for what it is.

Location, friendly staff, good view, reasonable breakfast included. The receptionists made a great effort to help us find a nice walk.

It felt a bit over priced for what we got. The biggest issue was lack of air conditioning. I guess I had assumed that a 5 star hotel would have it, although I appreciate that many alpine properties do not. But just beware - on a hot August night the best bedding in the world is not going to make up for the fact that you have to sleep on the balcony to get cool!

Good stay but hotel needs to improve some areas

Good location, room furnished nicely and super comfy bed. Nice view too

My car had roof box so hotel couldn’t park car in the undercroft, only option self parking 5 minutes away from the hotel. Breakfast only available from 7.30 am had to check out early so no alternative option available. Hotel has few restaurants in winter but only one opened in summer. Spa area looks good but main pool found water not hot enough compare to other Spa in the area. Overall decent stay but i think QC terme hotel offer better Spa experience

A blissful retreat that felt like a relaxing sanctuary.

The staff was so helpful, the breakfast was amazing, and the spa was a nice treat on our TMB rest day :) we didn’t have to pay to use it, we just had to reserve! Don’t forget to check out the roof deck on 3, Twas a fab view of the mountains!

Staffs are fantastic. Friendly and professional. Room is clean, quiet and nicely decorated. It has a nice balcony with mountain view. Enjoyed the spa. Good breakfast buffet selection. I would definitely stay here again.

Superb

Superb position close to the lifts and with ski storage up the mountain at the Lodge. Very comfortable beds and excellent buffet breakfast.

The location is perfect... the lodge on top is a super idea and a great service for clients, pillows amazing, and very very clean...will use this hotel again when back in Courmayeur !!

The Junior suit was way too small for a double sofa bed, when open we had to jump over the bed to pass. Also the cooked breakfast was not good, fried eggs where all squashed on top of each other with the yolk all burst .. Had to argue to get a place in the spa, a word of advice, book beforehand if you want a dip in the pool after skiing !!

The hotel is well located but it is too expensive for the overall experience: not a 5 star hotel.

The hotel facilities are nice except for the spa which is substandard both in terms of space and layout and in terms of staff for a hotel that calls itself 5 star (the person spoke no English).

The service: erratic, slow. The spa: terrible. The New Year's eve menu: substandard and strange choices (100% seafood in a mountain resort).

Perfect place to stay for a ski vacation

The hotel is Pet Friendly, with a supplement. They also provide a dog-sitter on request. Personnel was extremely kind and helpful. We stayed in room 219, lower floor, no balcony but a couple of chairs outside the glass door, back of the hotel's view, very little sun coming in during all day. Strong Chlorine smell, due to the nearby outdoor Spa. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices. Cosy but essential Spa, with hot and cold pools and jacuzzi, excellent therapists for treatments.

nevertheless the amazing all-inclusive breakfast choices, fresh juices were a la carte.

Great staff but poor value for money.

The staff is very warm, friendly and accommodating.

When paying such high rate nightly one would accept access to the pool for guests is complimentary. Very disappointing to learn after paying 600€ per night that we would need to additionally pay 75€ for two adults and a toddler to visit the pool for a two-hour slot. There was a tea kettle and mugs in room… but they don’t provide you tea! BYO Tea Bag…

Excellent hotel for a ski weekend

Le Massif greatly exceeded our expectations... in all areas the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure our anniversary weekend was just perfect. The hotel is located only a couple of minutes walk to the Cable car which takes you up to the ski area, where you will find another part of the hotel called The Lodge in which are housed the ski lockers (and ski butler!) a lively bar and a restaurant. Wonderful not to have to lug skis up the mountain each day, like everything else in this hotel, so well thought out! A beautiful place which we hope to return to one day.

Loved our stay at the Massif! Perfect getaway for a romantic weekend. I'm very surprised by the low ratings that are left on Booking. For us, it was a full 10! Fantastic service, Amazing location, Beautiful views, Lovely staff... the list goes on. We will be coming back again for sure.
