About this house rental

Our Mazet (80 m2) typical in dry stone from the country, comfortable, will rejuvenate you. In the middle of nature, on terraced grounds planted with magnificent Mediterranean species such as olive trees, oaks, lavender but also pretty flowers that the owner carefully plants, you will discover the sweetness of life in the Luberon.
Our swimming pool area (8x2) particularly offers you a magnificent view. In 2017, the swimming pool has a large terrace and an arbor which will allow you to enjoy this space even at the hottest hours of the day.
Our land (16000m2) entirely enclosed by cuttle stone walls brings even more authenticity and assures you peace and quiet.
The house can be a good start for walks to the village (20 minutes) or by mountain bike, by car to discover our pretty villages in the Luberon.
2 Bedrooms, but possibility to rent an additional independent bedroom with bathroom. For 6 people we provide a fully equipped summer kitchen.

If you're looking to explore the surrounding area and return back to a peaceful retreat, I can imagine no better place in Gordes than this. It was perfect for just the two of us to escape the tourist bustle and the natural beauty of the area. Here you will embrace the country lifestyle, listen to the bees, smell the flowers and breath the fresh air. We loved the location (in the middle of an olive tree grove), it was easy to get to small towns and beautiful villages by car and then return to a peaceful spot to wind down and stock up on your relaxation equity. The outdoor spaces are incredible, the combination of the garden and the setting with he view of the mountain range - just wow. We did a ton of cooking and ate outside everyday, there are several options for dining outside. Very discreet hosts who are the nicest people, they respect your privacy and the peace and quiet of the property. Idyllic Provence.

Beautiful, quiet, comfortable house

Our group of four was very comfortable in this beautiful little stone house. The owner, Olivier Mauerhan, is absolutely charming & welcoming but never intrusive. The photos give an excellent impression of the house. Important for us was the beautiful stone table with a view of the Luberon mountain range for outdoor eating, the electric outdoor grill and the lap pool with 4 chaise lounges. All the appliances and plumbing are new. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a hair dryer! WiFi is slow but OK. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs; one has an en suite full bathroom. The 2nd full bathroom is on the main floor. The stairs look rather terrifying when you first see them, but we quickly acclimated and even in the middle of the night negotiated them without problems. There is a 3rd bedroom with full bath in a separate little building very close to the main house which we also used. But a warning: this is not the house for people with balance or mobility issues.

Toute était parfait! Logement bien aménagé et très confortable situé sur une belle propriété avec vue imprenable sur les collines au-delà. La région elle-même regorge de villages, de marchés, de musées, de vignobles et de possibilités de randonnées. Nos hôtes étaient extrêmement gentil et serviable et ont fait des pieds et des mains pour s'assurer que nous avons eu une bonne visite. Nous espérons néanmoins que cela vous aidera dans vos recherches. Nous aimerions y retourner!

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable dans un mazet typique de Provence. Olivier et Kate ont été des hôtes très accueillants nous avons appris beaucoup de choses sur la région, ses oliviers et ses bories. C'est une adresse pour ceux qui aiment les chant des cigales, les oliviers et le pastis au bord de la piscine.

Une chance vraiment rare de séjourner à deux pas de tous les magnifiques villages mais dans un cadre réellement exceptionnel : entouré de garrigues, sans aucun voisinage proche, dans un jardin très bien aménagé et avec une vue magnifique. La maison est typique et bien aménagée. La piscine et son espace transat sont très agréables... L'accueil était très convivial avec de bons conseils. Une très belle expérience de la Provence... Mille mercis encore...

Parfait !

La maison est très bien située pour visiter tous les plus beaux villages. Elle est très propre, fraîche et bien équipée. Le jardin est une merveille. Et il est très agréable de passer du temps autour de la piscine, où la vue sur le paysage environnant est magnifique. Le propriétaire est très sympathique et présent en cas de besoin. Je recommande vivement !

La maison est tranquillement posée au milieu de la nature, on ne voit rien d'autre que le massif du Lubéron en face. La piscine est très agréable pour nager, et le tour très bien aménagé, ainsi que les différentes terrasses extérieures. On s'est sentis instantanément détendu dans ce cadre parfait.

Bel endroit, calme et reposant. De la maison et de la piscine, vue large sur le "petit Luberon". Nombreuses possibilités de visites (Avignon, Gordes, Isle-sur-Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Sault, Roussillon ...). Possibilité de balades à pied ou à vélo. Olivier, le propriétaire est très sympathique, intentionné et discret. Le logement, l'équipement de la location est sans reproches. Notre séjour fut bien agréable. Encore merci à Olivier et son épouse.

Belle découverte, tranquillité et ressourcement

Avons passés 7 jours magnifiques dans cette vaste propriété qui correspond en tous points au descriptif. Se lever le matin au frais, profiter du calme avant le retour du chaud et du chant des cigales, se jeter dans la piscine pour quelques brasses avec nos filles de 3 et 5 ans avant de profiter des chaises longues aménagées sous un couvert bienvenu. Propriétaire très peu envahissant, sympathique et enrichissant si on décide d'échanger avec lui; il est juste venu 2-3 matins (avant 6h, comme préalablement convenu) pour faire un service-nettoyage à la piscine. Si vraiment on cherchait quelque chose à améliorer: il manquait juste un poivrier et un peu de débit à la connexion Internet. Pour ce premier séjour en Provence, les petits rosés au bord de la piscine et les nombreux repas régime méditerranéen avec produits du marché du coin nous ont comblés. On aurait bien aimer prolongé ce petit bonheur, mais on repart avec le sourire et en pleine forme !

Le jardin et la vue de la piscine sont formidables. Le séjour aurait été super si nous n'avions pas subi un vol dans les premiers jours. Pas de traces d'effraction dans la chambre occupée par un couple de seniors qui a été très perturbé le reste du séjour et pas rassuré d'aller dormir la nuit à l'annexe. Nous n'avons pas pu les loger dans une chambre à l'étage de la maison principale car l'escalier intérieur n'a pas de rampe. Du coup, ressenti global négatif. Dommage.
