Dimora Belvedere

La casa era in un punto panoramico bellissimo, facilmente raggiungibile. La pulizia impeccabile, ed i letti comodissimi. La Sig.ra Carolina è stata di un'accoglienza straordinaria e soprattutto molto disponibile per eventuali chiarimenti o consigli su luoghi da visitare o mangiare.

The interior was even lovelier in person than in the images. The exterior was also spacious and allowed plenty of opportunities for outside dinners. Based on the ad I assumed the bedding and towels cost money but this turned out to be free, so that’s worth keeping in mind. In term of access we arrived by train to Montecatini Terme and then walked to the funicular. The accomodation is a very short walk from the top of the funicular so this was convenient.

I don’t have any complaints about our accomodation. One room has a dehumidifier running since it’s an old building partially built into the mountain, but this was not a problem in out experience. In terms of the location then the village of Montecatini Alto was magical. It’s worth keeping in mind that the roads leading out of the village into the hills are not very walkable though, but there is also plenty to see down in Montecatini Terme which is accessible by funicular or hiking paths.
